Beautiful but the puzzles are disappointingly easy compared to MV1. Youre almost more of an observer than a player in this sequel. Did they dumb it down for children? Or just become a bit lazy? I feel this is more about aesthetics now than solving puzzles.
Clearly a work of love from the Developers. They have won a fan for the ages. Will be buying and supporting all their stuff. It’s brilliant 👍👍👍
Monument Valley 2 is an absolute joy to play. Just when I thought that Monument Valley couldn’t really be improved on, the sequel blew me away. Each puzzle had new yet familiar mechanics for returning players to explore and toggle with. I found myself lingering a little longer on the various levels, savouring delightful and unexpected interactions. I found the difficulty level to be just right, sufficiently challenging so that players can relax and not get frustrated over a puzzle that may be too difficult. The mesmerising visuals and soothing soundtrack completed this wonderful, immersive and heartwarming experience. ustwo games have outdone themselves!
Compared to the first game, this one had some nice new ideas and a really beautiful game design, but the levels were just too easy. I kept expecting them to get harder but they never did.
The graphics are still stunning but the levels, even at the later stages, are too simple. Finished this in less than two hours. Gotta make it more challenging since MV1 is too good!
If you enjoy detailing and sheer genius, you will enjoy this game and pay to support the people who made both monument valley games. How easy is it to conceptualise each stage and the whole storyline? How easy was it to create the schematics (I mean the convoluted pathways that double back on themselves, right side up or upside down), plan every shot so that no matter what screenshot is taken, it ranges from beautiful to exceptionally beautiful? Games like these don’t drop from the sky. I consider my money well spent.
My lovely great puzzle game
A good follow-up to monument valley. My only gripe is the lack of new levels, but the base game is certainly excellent enough for now.
Bordering on meditation. The M.C. Escher layout offers fun learning for young minds.
