Instead of chasing ever-sharper and perfectly exposed images, mood.camera focuses on making photography fun and giving your photographs soul. The custom image processing pipeline gives you photos with realistic film grain, cinematic halation and a rich colour palette. mood.camera also has no live "filter" preview or editing tools within the app, encouraging you to enjoy taking photos without worrying about flipping between effects or making the perfect edit. mood.camera wasn't built to evoke nostalgia, it was built to bring character and serendipity back to the mobile photography experience. — “This Camera App Gives Your iPhone Photos Soul.” - New York Times "It’s Hard to Believe the Photos From Mood.Camera’s New Portrait Mode Were Shot on iPhone" - PetaPixel "mood.camera emulates the feeling of taking photos on camera film" - Tech Radar — TRY FOR 7 DAYS FREE Please note, mood.camera is not free. We offer a 7-day unrestricted free trial for new users, no subscription required. After your trial you can continue to use the app for free but you will be limited to the “random” emulation mode. To continue using the full version of the app after your trial period you can either purchase a lifetime membership or pay a monthly subscription. EXPRESSIVE COLOUR EMULATION Each of the 14 colour emulations have been meticulously crafted to give every photo character and a rich colour palette. FILMIC DYNAMIC RANGE Naturally compressed shadows and highlights create images with more contrast, more atmosphere, and a look that feels closer to film. REALISTIC FILM GRAIN Film grain algorithms modelled on the physical development process, add texture and physicality to your photos whilst retaining detail. CUSTOM PRESETS Add a touch of warmth to your favourite preset, or start from scratch to create an original style. NEXT LEVEL PORTRAITS Choose from 7 lenses, each modelled on the physical properties of real optics, producing unique bokeh shapes, swirl and aberration. (Available on iPhone 11 or newer). DOUBLE EXPOSURE MODE 7 unique ways to blend photos unlocks new creative possibilities with your photography. CINEMATIC HALATION Using the iPhone’s dynamic range gain map to accurately identify the brightest highlights, creating a realistic halation effect. (Available on iPhone 12 or newer). CUSTOM FRAMES Elevate your photos with a custom frame, automatically added when you snap a photo. LESS TWEAKING, MORE SNAPPING Mirroring the classic film camera experience, there is no live preview of your selected film, letting you focus on capturing the moment instead of flipping between filters. After each capture, the element of suspense as you reveal the processed photo is another nod to the analog experience. INTUITIVE CONTROLS FOR CREATIVITY At its core, mood.camera is designed to echo the ease of use of a point-and-shoot camera but retains some controls to inspire creativity and personal expression: - Set the default focal lengths for each lens, giving you quick access to your favourites. - An on-screen exposure dial, makes it easy to achieve different styles with under and over exposed images. - Select from multiple aspect ratios to suit the scene. - An optional grid & level indicator gives you confidence when composing. - High resolution 24MP photos on compatible devices. (Available on iPhone 14 Pro, 15 Pro & 16 Pro). - Customise the dynamic range of your camera. (Available on iPhones capable of ProRaw capture). I mainly wanted to add flair to my photos little effort. The app is pretty easy to pick up and works smoothly. I love the presets on this app, plus you can adjust the grain and tone in each preset. -- music_luv, 2025-02-08 ### ***** "Replaced the stock camera app for me" I like it mostly because it circumvents the default iPhone image processing. I use very subtle settings and get great results. -- Pettipoole, 2025-01-24 ### ****- "Wonderful App, few problems" I’ve been into film photography for 10 years now, and this app is the only thing that has scratched that same itch for me in an iPhone format. I use it as my main camera and it makes me want take so many more pictures on my phone, since i know they’ll look good and i won’t have to edit them later. There are issues sometimes, where the processing will give a weird artifacts on a picture, or sometimes when i take pictures the app will freeze up and won’t save the photos. But after a recent update i haven’t experienced either issue again. Hope this app continues to grow and receive updates! -- BurntPitch, 2025-01-22 ### ***** "A great app." A well thought out and coherent layout. The app presets are fun and the end results are great. And with the latest update 1.60 it’s even better. Truly one of the best paid apps out there. -- Izzy29, 2025-01-16 ### ***** "finally, soft photos!" Somewhere along the line, phone cameras became less about capturing moments and more about cramming as much detail and DATA as possible into a picture. This app brings soul and personality back to phone photography in ways that I had given up on. Every picture makes me smile. I will mention - I’m typically more of a video guy when it comes to capturing moments, and so while I do understand the dev’s intent with this app, I would pay anything for video functionality. Absolutely anything. But thank you for creating this regardless! -- razzjerry, 2025-01-01 ### ***** "Perfect when it works…" The film emulation and the quality of the images are great. The different film stocks are unique and changing settings are easy. The only downside of this app is the exposure. Whenever taking a picture for the first time opening the app, the first image comes out wayyy underexposed. It’s a little annoying and makes me check every image I take right after I take it; the exact opposite of the intention of the app. If the developer ever fixes this issue, the app will be perfect. I am rating 5 stars because I see the potential of the app and the fact that the developer appears to have made this entirely by themselves. -- Mark Kingsley 2, 2024-12-27 ### ***** "Buying this app saved me a LOT of money" Update… adding f stop control pushed this app over the top. Give me iso control and I’m pretty sure this is the best photo app ever. —— —- If you can’t tell from the title, I was looking at investing in a decent camera. I’m not saying that this app makes my phone better than a decent camera. I’m saying since getting Mood I’m having so much fun taking photos with the camera I have with me all the time… which is the feeling wanted to capture with a more expensive camera. This app has feeling. It’s got soul and vibe. Get it. -- Band33t0, 2024-12-18 ### ***** "I love this app!" This is the best analog film simulation app that I have used. So much so that I instantly paid for the lifetime access. For the developer Alex, would you be able to consider adding a feature to add the effect to images taken with the Apple camera app? I have a number of photos that I would love to apply the effect to. Thanks! -- Ucidennis, 2024-12-18 ### ***** "Best & Most Fun Camera App" The film emulations are so fun and they look amazing. -- jrgxheudf, 2024-12-11 [View all mood.camera reviews and detailed analytics on AppTail](https://app.apptail.io/signup?utm_campaign=ai-crawl&utm_content=reviews) ## mood.camera In-App Purchases | Item | Price | |------|-------| | Monthly pass | $1.99 | | Lifetime Access | $14.99 | | Early Adopter Access | $14.99 | ## mood.camera Discovered Keywords -
