How much does Morning Pages cost?
Morning Pages has several in-app purchases/subscriptions, the average in-app price is £20.49.
This app is so clean and visually appealing that it really achieves its goal of encouraging me to show up on the page every morning. It also takes care of my niggling concerns about having my longhand Pages found and read by someone else. And what do you do with the inevitable stack of notebooks when you’ve been writing for a while? For me, this is the perfect solution and I’m enjoying watching my creativity soar again.
Where's the support?
Second review: I stopped using the app for about a year then started again about a week ago. I was quite impressed that my old pages were still there despite having ended my subscription. I now have three problems. First the mood assessment screen doesn't always work. It seems to have a problem with the server. Second, when it does work it no longer adds colour to the screen. Third: I have contacted the developer three times but so far had no response. There might be a good reason for this, but I would welcome a respose some time soon.
First review: I love this for the way it focuses on the single task of writing morning pages. It doesn’t pretend to be a word processor, so all you can do is type (though ccp is supported). I love the fact that the font used is large and easy to read. I also love the progress bar accross the top. I’m not so sure about the mood assessment though I applaud the use of ML to analyse my language. Great app.
Fails to load daily report
The app has this really cool feature where it summarises your report each day. But this doesn’t ever work (says failed to load).
Amazing
I downloaded the app and haven’t stopped using it. Completely transformed morning pages for me and made it so much easier and more consistent. Amazing!
Subscription is a waste of money
Subscription is supposed to allowing syncing between devices, but this does not work. My devices and the web versions have different versions of my journal and I no longer trust the iOS versions. Support is also nonexistent and do far all my requests for support seem to have disappeared into a black with non of them receiving any acknowledgment whatsoever. The concept is good, but subscription not worth the money
Converted to writing morning pages in an app!
I was doing morning pages in my journal for a few weeks and really enjoying it but I did start to think this is taking up a lot of pages and doesn’t feel very sustainable if it’s something I want to do for a long time. So I toyed with the idea of doing it into an app, or just typing it into notes/word document but I just felt strongly that writing down physically is more important and looking at a screen wouldn’t be great.
I have completely changed my mind after having written morning pages using this app, I was only planning to give it a go for one week but I’ve been converted now, I really like the fact that it is all saved on an app, it feels more discreet rather than someone finding a notebook around and if I lose my iPad or something it will all be able to be recovered. It is quicker to write the 750 words than it is to write them down physically which I really think I prefer, it’s more in line with how quickly I’m thinking which makes it easier to just write a stream of consciousness rather than changing thoughts mid word.
Would 100% recommend anyone to at least give a go, see how you feel!
Great app
Simple and easy to use…helping me to get a daily writing habit without being too confusing. 5 stars!
Amazing!
First day in and I love it already. The app you have created is going to improve and benefit me in many ways. Thank you
Putting thoughts to ‘paper’
I never have been one for writing thoughts down. Afraid that someone would see them but was intrigued with the concept of opening up my phone or iPad and typing away to my hearts content and everything is synced. Had difficulties at beginning with the syncing and Anastasia promptly replied re suggestions of what to do. As it was I had different email addresses for each device as one automatically added 2nd email address.
Give this app 5 stars due to it getting me into writing again and de stressing my life. I feel genuinely less stressed having ‘got it all down on paper’ either at the start or end of the day. Plus the excellent correspondence with the app developer.
An excellent app
I’ve been using the Morning Pages app for three years, and it forms an important part of my morning practice. I really couldn’t manage without it! Occasionally I look back at how I was feeling at certain times, seasons, etc and it really helps me see patterns in my thoughts and feelings.
