Morpheus erlaubt es Nutzer*innen aufgenommene Therapiesitzungen zuhause anzuhören. Das wiederholte anhören von Therapiesitzungen zwischen Therapiesitzungen ist Teil von Standard In-Sensu Interventionen und heißt "Between-Session Self-Management In-Sensu Exposure" (BSSSE) Morpheus erlaubt es Patient*innen den Stresslevel während BSSSE zu überwachen, indem die Anwendung iterativ nach einer Stress-Selbsteinschätzung fragt. Morpheus hilft Therapeut*innen und Patient*innen stündlich und gesamtheitlich den Therapiefortschritt zu überwachen, indem eine Übersicht über Prä- und Post-Evaluationen dargestellt werden. Unter Standardbedingungen (Das Anhören von Therapiesitzungen ohne die Verwendung von Morpheus) kommt es oft zu Hochstress-Situationen von Patient*innen, was die Wirksamkeit der Therapie schwächt. Morpheus hilft dies zu verhindern, durch eine iterative Abfrage des Stresslevels via Selbsteinschätzung und das Stoppen der Audiowiedergabe, wenn der Stresslevel über 70 ist (auf einer Skala von 0 und 100). Wird ein Stresslevel von über 70 erreicht, erinnert Morpheus Patient*innen einen Stress-regulierenden Skill anzuwenden. Morpheus stellt digitale, stress-regulierende Spiele (Ablenkung) bereit, wenn der Stresslevel zu hoch ist. Die Stressregulierungsspiele sind digitale, interaktive Minispiele. Es werden verschiedene Sensoriken der Nutzer*innen angesprochen, zum Beispiel auditive, motorische, visuelle oder logische. Morpheus sollte für die folgenden Diagnosen genutzt werden: ICD-10 F 40-48 F40 Phobische Störungen F41 Andere Angststörungen F42 Zwangsstörungen F43 Reaktionen auf schwere Belastungen und Anpassungsstörungen F44 Dissoziative Störungen [Konversionsstörungen] F45 Somatoforme Störungen F48 Andere neurotische Störungen Medizinische Kontraindikationen Morpheus darf nicht in Gruppentherapien sondern nur in Einzeltherapien genutzt werden. Morpheus darf nicht genutzt werden wenn Patient*in auch eines oder mehrere der folgenen Diagnoses hat: Epilepsie Demenz bei Alzheimer-Krankheit Morpheus ersetzt ausdrücklich nicht die Diagnose eines Arztes oder soll die:den Therapeuten:in ersetzten.
