Does not work
Doesn’t work, tells you to go on your computer to set up your account. What’s the point of having an app?
If you can’t set anything up on your phone it defeats the purpose. Not only that, all the advertisements show that it works for iPad, but it does not.
If you open the app on iPad it just shows half the screen like it’s a iPhone app instead of an iPad app.
It has no iPad support like advertised and when you open it up, it tells you to go on the computer. I don’t have a computer so I can’t use this.
Siri needs work
Hard learning curve and tutorials need some help. Alexa refuses to schedule tasks or events either
Seriously Changed My Life!
As someone who always have a million things on their to do list, post it notes and scribbling on pieces of paper (that would always get lost) was just not cutting it anymore. I started using Motion as a solution and will literally never go back to my old ways because the ability to brain dump tasks and have AI schedule them for me is AMAZING!
No notifications
The desktop app is great. The mobile app doesn’t allow for color coding or notifications. I have missed several meetings because they didn’t pop up on my phone. For $30+ every month, it is way too expensive to be missing basics that every other calendar app includes.
UX is not great
I love the concept, but there are things that make me wonder if I should give up and use a different system. Google calendar and Trello are great examples of good UX—you can click and immediately create a task or event. Motion is far more clunky. It’s also SLOW. I created a project on the iOS mobile app and added tasks and then went back to the parent view…and couldn’t find it anywhere. Gave me a heart attack. Luckily my Notes app where i had just deleted these tasks was still open and I pressed undo until I was sure I had them back. Only after I created a second project in Motion did I go back and see both appear in the drop down list. So either it was slow or buggy.
Too slow to use
It’s a cool idea, but basically unusable because of how slow it is. Anytime you tweak or complete a task the app hangs for a really long time.
Hard to cancel
I cancelled end of April and got charged again. I thought maybe my request would take some time to be processed. I just got charged again.
Need iPad Format
Would love an iPad version. The examples show Motion being used on a iPad, and that's misleading.
The mobile app is far inferior to the web app
So much of the functionality is missing. The options are there but they don’t work. I can’t set dependencies, I can’t change dates to work on things… might as well delete the mobile app and resign myself from only working from the web app.
