It complies with the FMCSA regulations, including Part 395. When used with the Motive Vehicle Gateway device, the app helps fleets and individual commercial drivers meet their obligations outlined under the ELD mandate. Supports current Canadian Federal Hours of Service (HOS) regulations. Connect the Motive Driver App to the Motive Vehicle Gateway via Bluetooth to stay compliant through an electronic logging device (ELD). Proactively alerts you when you’re running out of driving time to avoid Hours of Service (HOS) violations. Displays total hours worked for the week and your available Hours of Service for any given day and the following day. Can be switched to Inspection Mode to show ELD logs to an officer during a roadside inspection without compromising the driver’s privacy. TRACKING & TELEMATICS When dispatched, GPS location data is shared to the Motive Fleet Dashboard to update dispatchers and fleet managers on stops and arrivals. DRIVER SAFETY Review Motive Dashcam videos and safety events to understand driving performance. See your DRIVE risk score, a benchmark against Motive’s entire network of vehicles. Guess you get what you pay for. Get dinged for a rolling stop when there is no stop signal. Have to do post trip trailer inspection twice- once when you drop the trailer and then again at the end of the day. Have to sign your log twice also. Just another app developed by someone who has never been in a truck before but thinks they can tell 30+ years drivers how to do their job -- Driverdad1, 2026-09-10 ### *---- "User" Not very good at the driving coach feature. If you approach a red light, and it turns green, you will get dinged for a traffic signal unless you stop a green lights. Also, all Bluetooth features on my phone fail to function properly until I went in my settings and hit forget this device!! Now I can make phone calls from Bluetooth again… and AirPlay works now too This app needs too much work. Now a driver has to take the time and the distraction to keep up with it on a completely different device. Sometimes you get stuck and drive mode and can’t change your status. Overall, this is the worst ELD I’ve had so far. Both drive and cycle clocks are being burnt up because of latest update. After going idle for 5 mins it switches to on duty which it always has. The difference is now that 5 mins you sit continuously stays on drive time instead of reverting back to the moment you stopped. It is also struggling to come off the driveline at all. I’m going to urge the carrier I’m leased to to shop other options. It’s horrible and is constantly having issues connecting. Seems like a test run in a BETA version. Go into an office or truck stop, it may or may not reconnect. When it does the little reset button doesn’t do anything. Gotta unplug wait until the damn battery dies and try again. I miss our old Omnitracs. They were far more reliable and stable. I haven’t used customer support as I don’t have time in my run to deal with that. And who wants to waste their off time troubleshooting a junky gadget.
