## Motus Description
To use this product, your company must have a Motus App subscription.
 
The Motus App gives you access to your Motus account on the go. Modify your business mileage log from anywhere – and enjoy the freedom to spend time on what’s most important in your day. Region‑compliant mileage logs are instantly created and saved in the cloud, so you'll have peace of mind in case of a tax or regulatory audit.

GPS Configuration
For those employers who have enabled GPS capabilities, the Motus App will automatically record business stops, populate location details, and calculate trip-by-trip mileage. In addition to the key features listed above, GPS-enabled users benefit from the following:

- “Set it and forget it” - set your business hours to automatically track business mileage throughout your day
- Automatic detection of business stops
- Auto-population of address, location name, and other company-provided custom fields
- Map view shows the day’s route and stops
- Stop and trip durations are captured
- Application of appropriate commute deductions
- User-initiated option - allows you to turn off automatic tracking and record business mileage by clicking start/stop for each business trip
- Optional push notifications remind you to begin/end mileage recording each day
- Location-based push notifications remind you to input any trip details
- Route planning & optimization helps increase route efficiency
 
BATTERY CONSUMPTION
Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. Motus has been designed to limit GPS and battery usage, but we recommend charging your device while driving to extend battery power.

This thing logs you out every chance it gets but won’t tell you. It’s sends me notifications for the worst things but it won’t let me know I was logged out. What is the point of having it.

I am required by my organization to track my mileage and submit monthly. MOTUS allows me to the ease to track my locations and enter the names of the locations I visit. I can easily remove personal trips from the log and submit to my team on a timely basis. I have been using this tool for over 3 years now and it has incredibly helpful. Yes, it is a bit “big brother” but it is a good means to keep me accountable and accurate for where I have been and honestly it’s a big time saver. My role has many freedoms this helps me to stay honest and provide the evidence to show I was where I said I was and for the duration I was there.

Useless app.  Pain to use.  Constantly logging you out and SSO never works.  Garbage app.  This app is ridiculous.  Make sure you start it immediately on your trip because if you forget 10 miles into your trip, it will take you an hour to add that in.  This is literally the worst app that I use for work.

At least once a month I will get logged out automatically and no notification about it and have to review notes and memory to input the stops. No point in using this as you’ll still have to keep a written log of where you go on a daily basis

I am required to use this app for work. The app is constantly trying to force me to share my location always instead of my preferred selection of only when I’m using the app. I only need the app during my work hours but this is my personal vehicle so I do not need to share my location constantly. The app constantly sends me a pop up telling me I need to change my settings to “always” and will not let me do anything else until I change that setting. This means I have to constantly change my setting to always so it will let me move forward and then go back and change to “only while using” when I’m done. THIS IS INCREDIBLY ANNOYING. I should not have to share my location all the time to be able to use the app.
