## Mountain Project Description
Beyond the Guidebook: The Definitive Rock Climbing Resource.

• Find outdoor climbing areas near you, and navigate to them, using the map. This super-handy new feature is one of our personal faves.
• The much requested route finder: Easily sort routes by discipline, difficulty, star ranking and more. If a 4-star M9 is your thing, we'll help you find it.
• Search our entire database of 155,000+ climbing routes, even offline.
• Download route beta, photos, and topos state by state for offline use — because the best crags often have the worst reception.
• View a climbing area’s route stats (how many 5.11s are there?) and critical info (when is the raptor closure again?) in a single glance.
• Chat, ask questions, or put out a call for partners in our forum.
• Rate routes and photos, keep track of attempts & sends, or make a to-do list
• It's free to download and free of advertising too. Everything you need, nothing you don't.

## Mountain Project Reviews in United States

### ***** "4.6.5 Fixed Major Problem"
With the most recent update, the major problem of the app shutting down and being unusable has been resolved. Thank you developers!
-- Drop Knee Murphy’s, 2025-01-04

### *---- "Nonstop crashing"
App is unusable, crashes whenever you select an area or state.
-- Chamusta, 2025-01-02

### *---- "Unusable currently"
Can’t access any areas, routes , etc. basically opening up anything makes the whole app crash.
-- barry b. benson., 2025-01-01

### *---- "Unusable"
App literally crashes 100% of the time. Cannot search areas or routes by name, cannot click on areas on the map. Latest update made this absolutely useless.
-- kyliestanley, 2024-12-31

### *---- "Worthless app now."
Downloaded the app and then a few state’s routes. Every time I try to open a state to find routes the app closes immediately, rendering the app useless. Brother said he updated it and has the same issues now. Hope you test the updates better before releasing them…
-- Faceless-21, 2024-12-31

### *---- "Bad redesign"
The new redesign is not user friendly, and has no method of downloading new areas? I wasn’t aware of the merger with OnX (which I rave about their off-road app), but this version of Mtn Project is worse than the old-school version of years ago.
-- whitetails24/7, 2024-12-31

### *---- "App is Currently Non-Functional"
Can’t open the info in a single route or crag without the app crashing immediately. Bummer, especially after reading they’d been acquired by a different group.
-- Eenfsquad, 2024-12-31

### *---- "Near continuous crashes"
This app is unusable in its current release. I cannot click on any route without the app crashing.
-- Jake9268392, 2024-12-31

### *---- "Crash!"
App crashes when selecting state
-- sad bolt owner, 2024-12-31

### *---- "What Happened"
This app used to be THE go-to for finding routes. It was easy and seamless. Now it’s horrible. I can’t search my area without the app crashing 100% of the time. I can’t even search a route next to my neighborhood without it crashing. Literally any time I try to access anything related to the actual purpose of this app, it crashes. It’s absolutely useless now. Plus it now shoves the OnX app in your face every chance it gets. One of the worst downgrades of an app I’ve seen. I’d rate it lower if I could.
