The purpose of this app is to make listening to audiobooks in different formats easy and convenient! 
There are lots of websites with all kinds of audiobooks dubbed by professional actors and enthusiasts. Most of such audiobooks are distributed as folders with multiple audiofiles in different formats. 
I'm, the author of the app, listen to audiobooks all the time. Therefore, I did my best to make MP3 Audiobook Player a tool that has everything necessary to make this process intuitive and convenient.

• Plays audiobooks in MP3, MP4, OPUS, OGG, FLAC, AWB, M4B, M4A formats (without DRM protection).
• Adjustable playback quality (0.5x to 5.0x).
• Boost sound ( for audiobooks with low volume )
• The book cover is loaded from an image file in the book’s folder or from an embedded image from an audio file.
• Automatically saves the current playback position for all audiobooks.
• Supports CarPlay and integrations with over 50 other car models from Ford, GM, Mazda, BMW, Jaguar, Landrover and many more
• Jump to any file (can be enabled in settings).
• Supports standard headphone controls.

Bought because I wanted to listen to audiobooks on my Apple Watch. Once downloaded, I discovered it doesn’t do this, just streams them from the phone. This is annoying as I particularly wanted it so I cd listen to audiobooks phone-free while out running. Oh well, on this run, i loaded up an audiobook and I took the phone with me on the run. About 30 mins into the run, it seemed to skip, then a few minutes later it skipped again. And again. When I got home, there was only about 10 mins remaining of a 5 hour audiobook I’d started 90 mins before. I’ve now no idea which bits of the book I’ve read and which I’ve missed and will have to start again. This is the first and last time I use this app.

### *---- "Keeps jumping ahead randomly"
Audiobooks sound great with this app. However, when pausing a book, instead of continuing where you left off or rewinding a few seconds, this player sometimes jumps a couple of minutes ahead. This happens with quite a few of my books, irrespective of whether they are m4b files or mp3. 

Given that the whole purpose is to listen to the whole book, I no longer have any confidence in this and have switched to Bound. 

COMPLETE WASTE OF £5.99 at the moment. 

If/when the developer ever sorts this issue out, I would be happy to amend my review to 5 stars.

This is a good app for audiobooks. However the lock screen widget just doesn’t work and for me the Apple Watch app needs to be able to play audiobooks independently from the IPhone app(like iBookplayer) rather than just be a remote control Not far from being a great Audiobook player though

Overall I like it. Does the basics well and works with almost every file I’ve tried.

Only thing for me is it would be nice if pressing backwards / forwards would work to skip or rewind 15 seconds (or some defined interval) while driving. Or if it at least worked with Siri that would be an adequate workaround.

If that can be implemented then it’d be 5* for sure.

Long time user.  I’ve listened to over 22 days worth on this app (handily counted up in the statistics on the app!) and do not regret purchasing the app. It is entirely worth it as mist books I downloaded the mp3 file that costs less than audible. One of the best apps I’ve ever used and only I have bought, totally worth it. I wish they develop a natural voice audio player for text files to read audiobooks that aren’t mp3 files. I would pay extra for that too!

I don’t normally leave reviews. But for me this is the best audiobook player. Worth every penny. I have now been using this for the past four years and bit. My original review 3 years + ago is below. Once again two thumbs up for the developers 👍👍

I have been using this app on a daily basis now for the past 2 years. This app has everything that you could want and more. After getting this app I have never looked back and deleted other audio book players from my devices. This is the best MP3 audio book player out there. Give it a go you’ll not be disappointed. To the developers.... Thanks for the great app, pls keep up the great work.

I didn’t need a remote control App for a media player. I already had one. Two including the Apple one

I couldn’t really tell from the description that this was really for the phone

I wanted to use the watch away from the phone which is somewhat the point

I have given the App three stars as it is quite good all the same

I shall await the developer adding offline playback then give it five

### *---- "Bare minimum, feels abandoned"
It feels like The developer abandoned the app as very basic features are missing, eg. filters (e.g. read/unread). Deleting books takes ages, importing from cloud is clunky and rarely works as expected. The app is slow as if it was streaming, but it has access to all the files locally. Also missing the option to continue to next book after one is finished. Will revise , when the app gets some love from the developer (and please get a graphic designer with some taste).

I have a number of audio books in mp3 format and considered buying a dedicated MP3 player. I was unsure if this would offer the features I required of bookmarks and a timer, which is useful at bedtime. 
I then found this application which does all I need and costs a lot less than an MP3 player. Recommended.
