This app is awful!
Filled with ads, junk and things you don’t want.

Plus the rewards option has vanished from both apps and homepage!
Cannot open it anymore!

Such a broken, ugly app.

The msn start app was ok as you could do Microsoft rewards without any unwanted bloatware.
Now it’s just awful! Ads, tons of things you don’t want.

No one would use this as a search engine, but that’s what it is now.
A search engine app with ads and junk.

How satisfying it is to click on a link to a current news story and immediately be able to read a couple of hundred words of a well written report. No request to submit an email address or sign up for anything. I have been looking for an app like this for some time.

Microsoft, MSN, Bill Gates… what a joke of an approach trying to force people to download an app just to read the news. I hope this strategy fails miserably. Here’s why:
	1.	Stop with this nonsense: Forcing users to download an app just to access content that should be freely available on the web is a bad user experience.
	2.	Stop using free-to-read websites: Many of the news articles shared on MSN come from sources that are already free to access. There’s no need to gate content behind an app download. It’s just a greedy move by a company that should know better.

I’ve hit the link ‘read the rest of this article on the app’ many times but it never takes me to the story. There’s usually two obligatory Microsoft updates on the App Store, and then I arrive on the MSN Home Screen when I open it, and then remember and search for the original headline. Why bother writing news stories if you can’t find a way to deliver them. Don’t bother.

The good thing first - some (very limited) access to main newspaper articles.
However the majority of the information is drivel - months old and a lot of it is AI generated.

I have used this on and off - but now deleted it - I looked at 5 stories, 3 where 3 months old, one 9 months old and the last no longer existed.  As I cannot set only show items less than 72 hrs old - this is useless.
