M&T Mobile Banking

I’ve noticed that I need to re-verify my identity every time I log in, which is quite inconvenient. This means I miss out on important updates like deposits and payments, and I have to go through the verification process again just to check my account. Could you please look into this and make the necessary changes? It would be a huge help!

Mobile banking is always unavailable.

App is great, but there needs to be an update that includes a widget that people can put on their home screens. Almost every other banking app has this capability, please consider this in the future.

This app is not as complete as the website. First, I cannot see the interest rates comparing to the full site. If any of your loans or securities are variable interest rates, you should go to the website. Second,transfer can be made only among M&T account or through Zelle. So if I want to pay off my M&T credit card balance through other personal checking account, I should transfer the money to M&T checking account through Zelle, and then pay off the credit card. So inconvenient.

Easy access to deposit checks with the option of immediate withdrawing! As well as they are looking for fraudulent debits and credit card transactions.

Face ID won’t work, again.

App is constantly unavailable, it needs to stop and M&T needs to get it together

*Updated 12/30/2024* I figured out that the app works better on cellular data than it does on Wi-Fi. If you get the “Mobile Banking is Temporarily Unavailable” error message, try this: Close the app, turn off your wi-fi and re-open the app so that it is using cellular data. This has worked for me now several times. Still a nuisance to have to do this but at least it’s a workaround. “Mobile Banking is temporarily unavailable. We are sorry for the inconvenience.” If you like getting this error message whenever you need access to your account, then M&T is the app you’ve been waiting for! Imagine trying to make a mobile deposit so your account doesn’t get too low, but not being able to get into the app! Imagine trying to send a Zelle payment to you friend to buy concert tickets before they sell-out… Sorry! Imagine trying to transfer money from your savings account to your checking account to cover the mortgage payment. Nope! Late fees, overdraft fees, interest penalties, lost opportunities, these are some of the things you have to look forward to when you rely on this app which only works about 1 out of 10 times. (and that’s rounding up.)

I am constantly having issues with this app from glitches to loading issues to some days not working at all. I experience the worst problems on the weekends. I want to get rid of it and solely use online banking from my pc but I don’t carry it everywhere with me so that makes it difficult to get rid of the mobile app. I just wish M&T would take the time to fix the issues so that I can have a better experience.

This app is glitchy and always gives me trouble with external transfers. On the desktop site, I can complete the external transfer but the app says I don’t have any linked accounts. I’ve called customer service and they weren’t helpful. I’m in the process of switching to a new bank and I’m glad to be done with M&T.
