Crashes often with new update (2024-06-15)

It keeps crashing when zooming out to view the map.

Would be awesome if it worked

The app works for about 4-8 seconds before crashing. I have my area downloaded, start zooming out to find a trail near me then it just shuts down. Has never worked for me. Really want it to work, doesn’t work.

Best therapy

If you can get out into the woods on a bike you’re going to get really happy. Thanks to MTB Project you’ll get where you need to go and leave all your worries behind.

Crashes

Wish I could see all these great features everyone is talking about. The app has crashed 10 times in the last hour, so I guess that’s that.

Seen better days

I’ve had this app for probably close to 8 years at this point, and initially I thought this app was great. Tons of great information, maps seemed accurate, easy to use and reliable. However, the longer I have had this app, the less accurate and reliable it has become. Large amounts of trail information is outdated and incorrect, maps are inaccurate and are missing lots of trails. Also seems prone to crashing often, it is very rare that I can successfully navigate around the map without the app completely failing and closing itself. Still enjoy this app, but really hoping it receives a significant overhaul to update info, trail alignments, maps and resolve the constant crashing problem.

Used to love

So I have about 5 trail apps on my iPhone and this used to be my go to. It still is for at home and researching trails. But in the past year when I open the map in the field and try to move the map, it just crashes. Really dangerous if this is your only app and your on unfamiliar trails way out there. Wrong turns can make an intermediate day in the field, a dangerous day out. Still like the app, but have backup apps handy.

Unusable in the woods

There is a bug in production that causes a fatal error in the app when outside cell service, so basically when ever you’re out riding, literally every time you run the app. It happens when you try to locate your position or expand out to get a more Birds Eye view, makes the app TOTALLY unusable. And it’s been happening for months. First time I experienced it was beginning of April. Can’t possibly imagine why you wouldn’t have fixed this by now. Ive been using MTB project for years and have historically loved the app, but this issue completely negates any positive reflection I could offer. Until this is fixed the app is useless junk. I’ll be using Trail Forks going forward.

AWESOME

This app is free which is a bonus. You can add trails that aren’t on here and you can rate trails. It has lots of descriptions of the trails such as what rating it is, from easy to double black diamond (which you can rate too you just need an account), and star ratings from 1 star to 5 stars (which you can also do with an account). There are also NO ADS which is great. You can also record the trails you ride on. YOU NEED THIS IF YOU RIDE MOUNTAIN BIKES ON THE TRAILS!!!

Love this app!

As a recent new rider, I’m loving this app to help explore trails around me and to give me the right information before and when I’m on the trail.

Horrendous Unusable Routing

App is great for trip planning but utterly useless in the field
