MTB Viz turns your mountain bike rides into clear, trail-ready insight — record right from your iPhone or the standalone Apple Watch app, or import automatically from Apple Health. No extra tracker, no subscription, no account.

Start a ride from your phone or your wrist and MTB Viz tracks route, elevation, heart rate, and speed as you go — or pick up rides you've already recorded through Apple Health. Every ride breaks down the way a rider actually thinks about it: where you climbed, where you descended, how hard you worked, and how you rode the terrain in between.

RIDE RECORDING
• Record rides directly on iPhone or from a standalone Apple Watch app — no phone required
• Connect Bluetooth heart rate, power, and speed/cadence sensors, with wheel size and tire width for accurate speed
• Auto-pause when you stop, and a Live Activity on your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island
• Build your own live-metrics screen on the watch — pages of up to 4 metrics, your choice
• Rides save straight to Apple Health and are ready in MTB Viz the moment you finish
• Browse recent recordings right from your watch
• Calorie estimates from your power meter, heart rate, or speed
• Export any ride as a GPX file to share or open elsewhere

TERRAIN BREAKDOWN
• Automatic segmentation of every ride into climbs, descents, and traverses
• Grade, distance, and elevation for each segment
• A combined elevation, grade, speed, and heart-rate profile — drag or hover to scrub through any moment
• Tap any segment to see it highlighted on the map

RIDE DYNAMICS
• Airtime for every jump — hang time, landing impact, and distance — plus a trail-chatter score for how rough the descents were
• A braking heatmap that shows exactly where you're scrubbing speed
• Your "free speed" — how much momentum you carry through pumps and rollers without pedaling
• Cadence broken down by trail pitch
• Estimated climbing power in watts, no power meter required, with peak-power and surge tracking
• How fast your heart rate recovers on technical descents
• Aerobic decoupling — speed per heartbeat, first half vs. second, on long rides

• Rate your effort and tag rides by session type and conditions — feeding Apple's Training Load
