HOW DOES MULLVAD VPN WORK?
With Mullvad VPN, your traffic travels through an encrypted tunnel to one of our VPN servers and then onward to the website you are visiting. In this way, websites will only see our server’s identity instead of yours. Same goes for your ISP (internet service provider); they’ll see that you’re connected to Mullvad, but not your activity. It also means that all the third-party actors with technology integrated into the various websites you visit can’t sniff out your IP address and use it to track you from one site to another. Using a trustworthy VPN is a great first step to reclaim your privacy online. In combination with Mullvad Browser you make sure to block third-party cookies and other tracking technologies.
FREE THE INTERNET FROM MASS SURVEILLANCE AND DATA COLLECTION
A free and open society is a society where people have the right to privacy.
That’s why we fight for a free internet.
Free from mass surveillance and censorship. Free from big data markets where your personal information is up for sale. Free from authorities mass monitoring every click you make. Free from an infrastructure mapping your whole life. Mullvad VPN and Mullvad Browser is our contribution to the fight.
TELEMETRY AND CRASH REPORTS
The app collects a very minimal amount of telemetry, and it does not in any way tie it to an account number, IP or other identifiable information. Account numbers are used for authentication. App logs are never sent automatically but are rather explicitly sent by the user. App version checks are performed every 24 hours to tell the app if there are any upgrades available and if the currently running version is still supported.

Mullvad VPN works well. It is one of the most private and secure VPNs out there. The application is simple to use and features iOS design elements, which I appreciate. My only reason for giving it four stars is that I would love to see an iOS 18 dark icon. It could simply be the Mullvad mole with a black gradient background (characteristic of other dark mode icons) instead of the current navy. Right now, I have to store the Mullvad application in my Hidden Apps folder to prevent it from clashing with my other dark mode applications. This would be a nice improvement for a user who notices and appreciates attention to detail. Keep up the great work, Mullvad!
This one works for Instagram in China
Tried them all Inc Nord etc. This one is brilliant and fast. Costs $8 a month or something but the addiction to Instagram is real
Doesn’t work in China
Downloaded Mullvad as a backup for letsvpn because this one allowed more devices to use it, however, it didn’t even connect to anything and for the one time it didn’t work, erased all my internet history, meaning websites previously visited (like YouTube) had to be started all over again
Excellent
Please add feature to favourite vpn servers
Bad servers
Constantly drops out when using
Great
I tried Nord for some months it seemed to slow my internet down it was taking forever for pages to load I also found it wasn’t all that user friendly it’s expensive when you have to pay upfront for a lengthy period. I’ve been using Mulvad for over a month it’s been great it doesn’t slow my internet service down pages load fast & its user friendly simple to use.
Review not showing!
App won’t start on iOS 13.4
When it works it is good
It is okay but the issue I have is that it will just at times say it connected to a server and just not actually be connected. No network traffic gets through in this state but it will just lie. You have to reconnect quite a few times. I dunno if it specific to Australian servers or what but it is annoying.
The other issue is that you can’t define the names of your devices on your account and there is no way to look up the auto generated names on your devices. Reinstalled an OS and hit the cap? Guess you have to either remove all devices on your account and re log in or just guess which is the previous device’s ID.
The best
Simple interface, good privacy and does not lose speed when connecting or browsing. Best VPN I have used.
