I tried Nord for some months it seemed to slow my internet down it was taking forever for pages to load I also found it wasn’t all that user friendly it’s expensive when you have to pay upfront for a lengthy period. I’ve been using Mulvad for over a month it’s been great it doesn’t slow my internet service down pages load fast & its user friendly simple to use.

App won’t start on iOS 13.4

When it works it is good

It is okay but the issue I have is that it will just at times say it connected to a server and just not actually be connected. No network traffic gets through in this state but it will just lie. You have to reconnect quite a few times. I dunno if it specific to Australian servers or what but it is annoying. The other issue is that you can’t define the names of your devices on your account and there is no way to look up the auto generated names on your devices. Reinstalled an OS and hit the cap? Guess you have to either remove all devices on your account and re log in or just guess which is the previous device’s ID.

I am the go tech-person in my family. I want the best privacy AND security on my devices that is possible at the moment. I also want this for those I connect with regularly. I have setup the iOS Mullvad vpn app on 3 of my devices (separate accounts). I have set up the iOS Mullvad vpn app on 6 of my friends and families devices (separate accounts). I setup Mullvad to be my primary vpn on my always on hardware firewall. Some days I have half of my browser requests stalled while the app tries to connect to one of the FOURTEEN Mullvad servers in Australia. I would regularly waste 5min waiting for it to connect. But it didn’t/couldn’t. I would then give up and ask someone else near me to lookup said information I require. This is the consistent experience of those around me that use it. If proton vpn offered a month-to-month plan Mullvad vpn app would be not engaged with by the privacy and security community. One star for the reliability of the Mullvad vpn app. Considering all the consistent experiences of those around me the 5star reviews here have to be paid for.

The best of what I’ve used.

I’ve tried Cyberghost, Express, Nord and Surfshark. I encountered anything from minor to major issues with each. Since swapping to Mullvad I’ve had a trouble-free, simple solution to privacy both on iPhone and PC. Connection speed, along with switching servers is fast, there’s very little impact on my internet speeds and it’s been 100% reliable as far as remaining connected. I’ve not encountered a single dropout. I wait for a while before reviewing anything here. I’ve been using Mullvad for the majority of this year. It’s in constant use on my PC and iPhone. I believe, finally, that I’ve found a VPN that actually does everything it promises, and does it reliably. Thanks!

Meh

I've found pages don't load sometimes on the VPN. IMO, if there were more features and the connection was more stable then it would justify the high price.
