With Mullvad VPN, your traffic travels through an encrypted tunnel to one of our VPN servers and then onward to the website you are visiting. TELEMETRY AND CRASH REPORTS
The app collects a very minimal amount of telemetry, and it does not in any way tie it to an account number, IP or other identifiable information. Account numbers are used for authentication. App logs are never sent  automatically but are rather explicitly sent by the user. App version checks are performed every 24 hours to tell the app if there are any upgrades available and if the currently running version is still supported.

Was expecting something usable when I bought it, instead I got a laggy app, missing many features other competitors have, like choosing fastest location and server saving, and which can’t seem to keep a stable connection for longer than 5 minutes. Many other better free alternatives. Customer service was good though.

But, truly dislike (trying not to use proper word though!) their App - not only for iOS / iPadOS but Linux and Windows 11 as well.

All it takes to lose your privacy is all those multi-crashes of their App / Service and that’s that!

This review is mostly about the app and not the service as a whole.

A clean interface makes things easy to setup and navigate. Connection seems solid with decent speeds. There are an ok amount of options to configure though much less compared to it’s desktop counterpart (multi hop, filtering servers are two I miss). I don’t know how many of those restrictions should be blamed on Mullvad or on Apple. One thing that does go in its favour: it’s open source!

Overall a pleasure to use. Definitely one of the better VPNs focused on privacy.

I spent a lot of time researching and reviewing VPN services... every service has its own merits, but there’s at least one drawback to each service. Mullvad checked all the boxes for me. No ridiculous plans to get to buy three plus years, just a flat $7/mo... my advice would be to buy service time through this apps IAP, for reasons unknown, Mullvad is actually cheaper through this app than online, albeit not by much, but still makes things easier. I don’t notice any speed lag or slowing. One plan works for both iOS and Mac. My top two picks are ProtonVPN and Mullvad.. Mullvad takes the cake for value, ease of use, privacy and everything else you’d want in a VPN. Can’t recommend Mullvad enough! Worth every penny
