The app collects a very minimal amount of telemetry, and it does not in any way tie it to an account number, IP or other identifiable information. Account numbers are used for authentication. App logs are never sent automatically but are rather explicitly sent by the user. App version checks are performed every 24 hours to tell the app if there are any upgrades available and if the currently running version is still supported.

Love their VPN Service!

But, truly dislike (trying not to use proper word though!) their App - not only for iOS / iPadOS but Linux and Windows 11 as well. All it takes to lose your privacy is all those multi-crashes of their App / Service and that’s that! Unfortunately, similar to their unique (dumb?) pricing which is like 1 month or 1 century, they charge the same monthly fee - their developers ignore these issues.

Best option if you value Privacy

Too often people forget the difference between Privacy and Anonymity, if you are looking for anonymity well vpn is not the option for you but if want some more privacy well i truly recommend a vpn, i’ve been using Mullvad for 2 years i never had any problem with it and if you don’t know how to use the internet safely you can visit the mullvad forum page

Beats NordVPN and SurfShark

I just wanted a VPN that worked consistently: Mullvad is perfect. The excellent privacy features are a bonus.

I bought this vpn to connect india but sadly INDIA is not available on their server. Very disappointing

It don’t work from Russia. I bougth two month subscribers, and then vpn stoped working.

Unable to connect in China since this weekend

Please update to fix connection in China, I’ve been using the app since 2019 but this time took too long to fix it

Only vpn I would recommand. But dont buy time with apple pay. Only buy with monero on they website. Stop the glowies trying to follow you

A simple and effective solution that’s missing some features

This review is mostly about the app and not the service as a whole. A clean interface makes things easy to setup and navigate. Connection seems solid with decent speeds. There are an ok amount of options to configure though much less compared to it’s desktop counterpart (multi hop, filtering servers are two I miss). I don’t know how many of those restrictions should be blamed on Mullvad or on Apple. One thing that does go in its favour: it’s open source! Overall a pleasure to use. Definitely one of the better VPNs focused on privacy.
