HOW DOES MULLVAD VPN WORK?
With Mullvad VPN, your traffic travels through an encrypted tunnel to one of our VPN servers and then onward to the website you are visiting. In this way, websites will only see our server’s identity instead of yours. Same goes for your ISP (internet service provider); they’ll see that you’re connected to Mullvad, but not your activity. It also means that all the third-party actors with technology integrated into the various websites you visit can’t sniff out your IP address and use it to track you from one site to another. Using a trustworthy VPN is a great first step to reclaim your privacy online. In combination with Mullvad Browser you make sure to block third-party cookies and other tracking technologies.
FREE THE INTERNET FROM MASS SURVEILLANCE AND DATA COLLECTION
A free and open society is a society where people have the right to privacy.
That’s why we fight for a free internet.
Free from mass surveillance and censorship. Free from big data markets where your personal information is up for sale. Free from authorities mass monitoring every click you make. Free from an infrastructure mapping your whole life. Mullvad VPN and Mullvad Browser is our contribution to the fight.
TELEMETRY AND CRASH REPORTS
The app collects a very minimal amount of telemetry, and it does not in any way tie it to an account number, IP or other identifiable information. Account numbers are used for authentication. App logs are never sent automatically but are rather explicitly sent by the user. App version checks are performed every 24 hours to tell the app if there are any upgrades available and if the currently running version is still supported.

Mullvad VPN Reviews

The Absolute Best-it’s not even a debate

There is NO Vpn that comes even close to Mullvads mission set. There ONLY goal ever from day 1 was to be able to browser the net privately. That’s mullvad! It’s the Only Vpn that has no idea who even owns an account. You can pay in so many ways not linked to you. Vouchers cash & many other ways It’s €5 or $6 a month, you buy 30 days at a time. You will NEVER See a YouTube channel been sponsored by mullvad You will never see , buy this get 50% off for 3 years. Why.? Because your not getting scammed, They truly have no idea & truly don’t keep logs, They have been brought to court & all they know is- I’ll use me as an example, they only know my account number & of the devices linked to my account random number & random name But remember they have no idea who I am . They just know this said account has say 4 devices on that account & can add one more phone laptop etc No other VPN can say this. They know who you are by your phone number , your email & how you pay for it. That’s logs - this is huge! Also - it’s like Tor I.E the onion it has lots of layers, it puts ur traffic thru 1 router & into another & do this many times ( multihop ) it’s an amazing feature! It puts your VPN the tunnel so to speak in a quantum connection, I.e not even a really powerful Quantum computer can exploit your data It Also has DAITA which is defence against A.I data analysis- I.e it makes every package look the same size , they add lots of noise so if your in a government that spy’s on you & you don’t live in the west - this is a life saver But it’s amazing for everyone. It also blocks ads & trackers & has a malware defence and loads of other tools Also it will cover ur DNS , just read their blog on mullvad . Net & they will explain it so much better than me All I can say is that I’ve been using mullvad for a very long time & there is NO VPN that can say any of the above & it has its own browser & it’s the only VPN tor supports on there own So that should tell you everything. It’s truly stopping your ISP & big tech companies seeing what your doing & what your reading & for how long etc etc I know that’s a long read. But idk why more people are not saying thank you on here. While online on SM so many people talk about it & how good it is & ask questions *I.e I’m in school/college but nothing works - someone will respond saying use this port or shadow socks or use a bride Oh Yea it has all them Too! & more* That’s why it’s not even a debate. I just hope thi

I previously used Mullvad (before the app), and was completely satisfied with it (albeit, it was a bit clunky to set up initially). I gave NordVPN a try but came back to Mullvad with the release of the app. In terms of speed, getting 200Mbps down and 22Mbps up on my home WiFi. No complaints

Use Wireguard, Mullvad VPN May Be Blocked For You

Reviews With Purpose on

I won’t talk about legalities or how that affects the tech side of things (because, frankly, it’s headache inducing and requires in-depth reading to feel comfortable. You won’t get that in an App Store Review.) Use WireGuard as an alternative. Available for iOS (iPhone, iPad) and Android (Samsung, LG, and generally other non-Apple products.) As well as Windows, MacOS, and Linux of course. The official website looks intimidating, because what you’re seeing are commands for terminals and you may be used to GUI (Graphical User Interfaces) over Text-Based User Interfaces. But don’t concern yourself with that if downloading on your smartphone, seek step-by-step guides if need be.

Edit: Can’t connect using wifi. I think it was an iPhone update that broke it, so I will try to figure out what setting is messing up my wifi.

Going on 5 years. The vpn business is full of shady people but these guys are the real deal. No extra nonsense installed on your computer running in background and hard to beat the price. I wish more IP’s were used/changed more often but for the price, safety and speed this is as good as it gets. I continue to test flavor of the months and am amazed. When a vpn installs a ton of bloatware and hidden files running in the background (surf shark/nord) or makes it a challenge to cancel (surf shark) those are the ones you want to steer clear of.

50% of the time it doesn’t work

anstrazi on

I swapped over to Mullad after the VPN service I had been using for years continually upped their monthly service subscription. I’m not impressed with Mullad over than the price point. The VPN consistently does not work on majority of WiFi networks. I can almost never stream or be online unless I turn it off. Most general website browser apps (iOS) block my traffic when I’m on VPN, forcing me to do multiple CAPTCHAs or just straight up deny me. I’ve tried a few different troubleshooting techniques with little resolve.

Great vpn DAITA too slow

Blargh!!!!!!!!!!! on

United States

The service is great but the new DAITA service is way to slow to be usable. Apps take forever to load content with it on compared to not using. Please fix
