With Mullvad VPN, your traffic travels through an encrypted tunnel to one of our VPN servers and then onward to the website you are visiting. TELEMETRY AND CRASH REPORTS
The app collects a very minimal amount of telemetry, and it does not in any way tie it to an account number, IP or other identifiable information. Account numbers are used for authentication. App logs are never sent  automatically but are rather explicitly sent by the user. App version checks are performed every 24 hours to tell the app if there are any upgrades available and if the currently running version is still supported.

I’ve used many VPNs over the years. Always paid ones. The business I work for uses an expensive one that I have to have to log in to stuff but as soon as I’ve finished with that, I’m back to Mullvad. Consistently better all the time, whenever I am. Yeh a few blips over the 6 years I’ve used it, but nothing compared to others. This is your best choice.

I heard good things about this vpn in terms of privacy, but it’s almost unusable as it disconnects every 30 seconds, for a paid vpn it’s actually really bad service. Won’t be paying for it again.

Mullvad’s entire foundation and goal is privacy, security and user experience, at what seems to be all costs. 

This means they go trough extreme lengths and unseen technical challenges to ensure they have the least amount of information possible on their users and the least usage data being collected (effectively none currently). 

This is a great stance, and I support them!

Mullvad used to be a decent vpn app, but as of late, it constantly disconnects and refuses to reconnect. When I lift my phone to check email, there’s no connection. Tapping reconnect ten times still doesn’t connect. Even on wifi!!! Yet I have four bars and the second I shut down Mullvad, the connection magically comes back and I can access the internet.

Shows as connected initially but no apps or safari will work on my phone. A few seconds later, mullvad shows that it’s trying to establish a connection. I can try multiple countries but it’s pointless. Many times I have to just disconnect the app to get an internet connection.  

This has been the case for a long time. It’s a Mullvad issue and definitely not iOS.

Tried to pay for another 30 days but the ‘purchase more’ button was grayed out. Because of this any connection was blocked. Had to uninstall and reinstall the app. Missed important messages. Please fix this >:(
