TELEMETRY AND CRASH REPORTS
The app collects a very minimal amount of telemetry, and it does not in any way tie it to an account number, IP or other identifiable information. Account numbers are used for authentication. App logs are never sent automatically but are rather explicitly sent by the user. App version checks are performed every 24 hours to tell the app if there are any upgrades available and if the currently running version is still supported.

Mullvad Browser on IOS

I have no grievances with Mullvad. I just wish they would import the Mullvad Browser to IOS. I would definitely use it.

Prompted purchase without working properly

Purchased 30 days of use for 5$ VPN, doesn’t work at all on my network. Waste of money if you ask me, Not eligible for refund of course

Only VPN that never destroyed my wifi

Excellent VPN App

Overall: Clean UI with essential features present. Privacy respecting and reasonably priced. To improve: Will update if ideas arise.

Connection issues

I can no longer recommend this app. It’s been 6 months of connectivity issues that have not been resolved. There are problems with being disconnected and difficulties reconnecting. I was told to try the WireGuard app. That worked for a while but now I often get zero data when connected. I also use an alternative brand VPN. I just switch over to that one and everything works fine so the problem is not my wifi or cellular connections. Other companies have figured this out so I can’t understand how after many months nothing has changed.

Inconsistent

I sometimes see “VPN” reconnecting like 4-7 times a day. Make app better or I’m caving into Proton’s absurd pricing scheme. Again. Love it on my PC though. Thank you. P.S. - What is the point of this compared to Mullvad VPN on any PC. Talk about minimal effort. Why did you even make an iOS app? I look forward to your reply..

Able to access local network: Behavior changed?

App version: 2024.02 I’m seeing an odd behavior with Mullvad. Previously, when I was on VPN, I was unable to SFTP to any local IP addresses, which made sense because all my traffic was being sent to the wireguard interface. Starting 2024.02, I’m able to SFTP to my local subnet, irrespective of the VPN location selected. Is this because of the latest TunnelCrack CVE or do we differentiate between traffic destined to local subnets vs the Internet?

Use WireGuard instead

The Mullvad service itself is rock solid, but their app is so unstable that you’re better off getting a configuration file from their site and just using the regular WireGuard app instead.
