Mushroom Id will help you quickly and easily identify species. Mushroom Id is great fun to use. Identification can be enjoyed by the whole family. Mushroom Id has been created by professional published ecologists, and uses images selected with the specific aim of aiding identification. Anatomical, ecological and taxonomic information is also included. Mushroom Id can be used to keep a log of your fungi sightings making it easy to build a record of all the species you've seen. SUNBIRD apps appear in Countryfile's top 10, and have been described as "incredibly useful" by ITV's Seth Conway and "lovely" by Adam Vaughan of the Guardian. SUNBIRD field guides are the only products on the market that use the KUSAM species identification methodology. This state of the art method is a modern taxonomic keying system designed specifically for use on mobile devices. The app does not need an internet connection, all content is downloaded when the app is purchased. We will be adding new species regularly. Don't forget to keep your app up to date. We use the term 'Mushroom' to mean any type of fungi. Traditionally the term has been used only for Field Mushrooms by some, gilled fungi by others. There is no scientific limitation on the term and we have used it in this app for all types of fungi. The app is intended for the general interest user with a love of the natural world. The app is not intended for use when foraging for wild foods and we strongly recommend you do not handle or eat wild mushrooms, many are extremely poisonous and easily misidentified. Sunbird Images also develop apps for other companies see our website for details: ## Mushroom Id Guide - UK Screenshots - [Screenshot 1](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/Purple62/v4/01/39/86/01398694-c473-c202-5cba-5737bfb9a30f/mzl.mubqkezu.png/640x960.png) - [Screenshot 2](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/Purple128/v4/90/ae/c6/90aec63b-f241-ffc6-5ac8-dd7a1e42b89c/mzl.xaslgeuz.png/640x960.png) - [Screenshot 3](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/Purple62/v4/c8/d1/8f/c8d18f0a-cc30-2a45-8bb3-33557e9649d4/mzl.vqocuqkg.png/640x960.png) - [Screenshot 4](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/Purple128/v4/8a/ab/be/8aabbed8-f369-e7c0-6ae7-79e87019c363/mzl.eyvkkhds.png/640x960.png) ## Mushroom Id Guide - UK Rating Breakdown in United Kingdom - 5 stars: 197 (61%) - 4 stars: 101 (31%) - 3 stars: 13 (4%) - 2 stars: 4 (1%) - 1 stars: 10 (3%) ## Mushroom Id Guide - UK Reviews in United Kingdom ### ****- "Ease of use" It’s ease of use contributes to its value -- JSD16g, 2024-03-08 ### ****- "Enjoyable and easy to use format" Could do with some instructions regarding the quiz scoring … what do the colour circles mean? Quite a lot of missing fungi …. I can’t match all my photos to those on the app. -- stimulated anne, 2023-02-15 ### ****- "Pretty good" Above says it all -- ATB again, 2022-11-20 ### *---- "Disappointed!" V Disappointed with this app!! Trying to identify what I now think is clitocybe geotropa but still not sure! This app has a v limited range! -- extinction rebel, 2021-11-19 ### *---- "Naff not worth the money" Very basic info done of which is nonsense, has no meaningful info regards edibility, just says ‘edible according to some sources’ basically a useless app if you’re looking for a proper field guide -- Pat Bannon, 2021-08-26 ### ****- "An ideal identification tool" I find this app extremely helpful in recognising any fungus. It will be kept very busy in the next month or so! -- Patric-C, 2021-08-13 ### ***** "Excellent useful app." This is a really handy app to keep on your phone or tablet to identify mushrooms and reduce the risk to touching something potentially dangerous. A great app, thank you. -- PeterLG54, 2020-09-17 ### ***-- "Pretty pictures" Not much content as author’s other apps. Would help if on picture it showed whether the mushroom was poisonous or not, instead of searching in the detail. -- threemees, 2020-05-03 ### ****- "Review by Evan Bayton" Good general source of elementary to intermediate level. Sensibly does not encourage use as a foraging guide. There is a growing awareness of need for local knowledge for that and the limitations of morphology in identification of what is still a very imperfectly understood life form. Recommended for general education. -- A&E Doctor, 2020-04-25 ### ***** "Love the app. Just a little tweak." I’m learning a lot from 5 different Sunbird Apps including this one. I use the quizzes everyday to learn. One thing I would tweak is the option to eradicate some of the species from the quiz once you have learned them. A lot of them I have fully learned but if I could adjust the quiz so that I was only left with the ones I didn’t know then I could really get to the depths of learning to ID them. I hope they read this. Thanks, Sunbird. -- Habbahaa, 2019-09-26 [View all Mushroom Id Guide - UK reviews and detailed analytics on AppTail](https://app.apptail.io/signup?utm_campaign=ai-crawl&utm_content=reviews) ## Mushroom Id Guide -
