Very Limited Features

I bought the SACD player and found it also had streaming features; which was initially exciting. I was new to this and had been using a friends Denon setup with HEOS. HEOS is only ok but is still far superior to Music Life. I tried to use the App to read files from a plugged in drive (something that is very useful with HEOS) to save exploring with the small screen but failed. I contacted HK to be told that this is not available. The Drive must be connected to a network for the App to play the files. The App is flakey as connections will suddenly be lost for no particular reason. The App could be (and should be considering the quality kit that HK produce) brilliant but is currently disappointing that might not reflect too good.

Dreadful.

This app is beyond a joke. I just spent a LOT of money on an Arcam Radia amp and streamer and this app ruins the experience of two excellent products. The app needs to be scrapped and replaced with a new one that's fit for purpose in both design and function, which this app is certainly not.

Utterly Useless

Frequent issues and bugs experienced resulting in not being able to listen to music. I won’t be buying another Arcam product.

Disappointed

Using the Arcam ST60 to stream from Amazon Music. Internet speed is 70 Mb/s.The radio stations are slow to load. Using the app to stream albums from the net is all but useless. Music intermittently drops out and the first track on a newly streamed album skips from track 1 to to track 2 after 15-30 seconds. The help line for this app simply advised to use a different app!!!

Could do with Apple Music integration.

Support for other music services

This app is about as intuitive as learning to program! Come guys pull your finger out. You only have took as some of the competition to get some good ideas. Look at Sonos! Search automatically works across all active services allowing you to choose. What about support for the BBC?

Arcam CDS50 - Beautiful HIFI… made unappealing by rubbish app.

The primary reason to spend over £600 on a CD streamer is not the CD player, which bluntly is brilliant, but streaming. And streamin when you find what you want on Tidal via MusicLife is fantastic. It is the best audio experience I have ever had in my home. Brilliant! But the whole purchase is ruined by this App. I can’t stream direct from Tidal, and the Music Life App seems to implement its on interpretation of whatever API Tidal have given. It means that what you last played on the move (via Tidal) is not synced with Tidal (via music life) Search functions are placed in an appealing place. Now try searching for “Rag’n’Bone Man” but instead search for Rag and Bone, Rag n Bone, Boneman, or any logical search if you don’t know the spelling. Or ANY artist you are not sure of the spelling. Brilliant. Millions of tracks and you can’t find popular music. It really is a beautiful CD player and wonderful sounding streamer, but the streaming interface makes it a less than appealing purchase. I don’t know if I should return the kit and exchange for something where better care is taken over streaming and software support.

Connection

Always struggling to connect from my iPhone to the unit. Not the most user friendly product either.

Can’t get this to work without glitches on Amazon music

poor apps drive me nuts on

United Kingdom

Ok app except constant drop outs with Amazon music…tidal fine, airplay fine….so it’s not a Wi-Fi issue….

But…

Seven_Spades on

I like this app but. If I select the Qnap as the source and browse to my tracks (flac) the albums are sometimes mixed up with the same artist. If on the other hand I say the source is plex(Symes actual source) then I get all the album artwork and the albums are correctly sorted… but when I play back classical music there is a glitch as the system changes tracks, there is no seamless version. I I use the hifi to navigate to the streams I don’t have any gaps or mustc.
