My Astound Reviews

Broken?

Reviewer57427 on

United States

Upon logging in, all I can see is a big blue block and a big white block. There’s an icon at the top for accessing your profile, but the app seems to serve no function whatsoever.

NEVER use Astound

Hab1tLasagna on

United States

Astound is a group of scam artists. Stole $519 out of my account for “Missing Equipment” They have all my equipment, they even confirmed it with me and they still will not refund me my money. Don’t support this company unless you want to have hundreds of dollars stolen from your account.

Statements?

b33p3rs on

United States

I am amazed the statements are pulled up as PDFs, however you cannot download them? In 2024 this seems so normal and easy to do in other utility and bill related apps.

Limited

So this is just a billing app? Why can’t I reset my modem/router with it?

Set up AutoPay and paperless easy

Much easier than the website to set up AutoPay and paperless billing

Misleading Services

Bschattzz on

United States

Astound representatives lie to you to get you to sign up for a “deal”. Then you get no documentation confirming the deal that you can reference for the future. I was told to sign up for their internet service when looking for a provider at my new apartment. The rep offered me $30/month and said as long as I enabled the autopay feature it would take $10 off every month to be roughly $30. What they don’t tell you is that every month they change the amount you’re charged for “taxes, surcharges, and fees” with no breakdown or indication of what these are and why they change all the time. So even if your services are $30, they can change the fees at their own leisure whenever to charge you whatever they want. Then you call and email over and over and your original rep will hide from you and never answer the phone but leave unhelpful voicemails saying it’s “the fees”. My bill is different every month with no explanation why.

Lets you enroll in text notifications

I’m a new customer pending installation, and my only purpose for looking into this app at this time was to see if I could enroll in text messages which I could not do online. I wasn’t hopeful but it actually let me! You just go to Billing information / Notifications (I know it should probably be under Your Account or Profile instead..) I agree with other reviewers that the UI / UX design of this app can improve a lot, but just wanted to mention that it does let users plug in your phone number so you can receive text messages about the status of your appointment, etc :) We look forward to finding this app improve soon!!

Couldn’t solve my problem!

I used the app, and even talked with customer service she handout on me have solved my issue with this company such useless, I will go soon with Google-Fiber or some other trash company, but not staying with this company look at their stars, all over their store star. You guys should shame you!

Good app but bad design.

Mike2023July on

As soon as one logs in, all they get to see is Bill pay. Now what about account info, statements etc. This is where the bad design confuses people. Once one clicks on billing information, the bill and payment screen shows up. Use than needs to scroll down to access other information. My gripe is with the company charging exorbitant late charges, over charging and misleading customers. But app ain’t bad.

Hidden Fees, Useless App, Poor Customer Service

Wethegreat on

United States

A new Astound internet service customer. Lots of hidden fees. The price that is advertised is scam. Be expected to pay three times that of the advertised price. Consider other options if you can.
