It’s your first big choice but far from your last. "My Day off Work" is a 240,000 word interactive fantasy novel by Andrew J. Schaefer, where your choices control the story. It's entirely text-based—without graphics or sound effects—and fueled by the vast, unstoppable power of your imagination. You’ll have 24 hours to explore your world and the myriad treasures within it. Every decision opens new doors and closes others; every choice you make takes you to a new fork in the path. You might meet new friends, explore hidden rooms, or discover secret treasures. You could find yourself fighting a relentless killing machine, joyriding in a luxury sports car, or relaxing in a sleek lounge with the city’s movers and shakers while soothing the baby you’ve just agreed to watch. No two games are any more similar than you want them to be. Compelling plotlines and funny asides keep things relentlessly entertaining. You might even learn a few things, but only if you want to. It’s all your choice. Is that a light at the end of the tunnel? And is it the sun? Or an oncoming train? • Enjoy your surprise day off work. • Tackle tough choices like whether to get dressed, what to eat, and when to leave the house. • Explore the myriad paths a bustling city has to offer. • Look for hidden options, secret choices, and unexpected twists. • Experience a different story every time, from tragic to provocative to hilarious. ## My Day off Work Screenshots - [Screenshot 1](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/Purple116/v4/09/48/85/094885a5-065a-5036-6740-c6549322ede9/01bbebec-f4b7-4155-bf5b-861e6d60374f_1242x2688.png/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 2](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/Purple116/v4/8a/ff/37/8aff37f1-bdc4-248f-affb-399269d3fafd/a3697bb0-7a66-4589-a491-cdca1409a497_10-1.png/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 3](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/Purple116/v4/6e/2f/cb/6e2fcb6e-fe74-6dfc-5b55-59209cd1d668/13faf1aa-8cc5-4e16-89eb-5e0b417710f4_10-2.png/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 4](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/Purple116/v4/97/f5/30/97f530ef-ca1f-29ba-6d6c-a1d20f6ff858/a540847f-7830-42be-bb4a-1c6c57f9ec63_10-3.png/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 5](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/Purple116/v4/d4/24/0d/d4240d1b-ddd5-0dcf-9cca-07c7da522092/7dc4fe2d-c0e2-47fc-951b-d2f742db8e63_10-4.png/1242x2688.png) ## My Day off Work Rating Breakdown in United States - 5 stars: 27 (75%) - 4 stars: 4 (11%) - 3 stars: 4 (11%) - 2 stars: 0 (0%) - 1 stars: 1 (3%) ## My Day off Work Reviews in United States ### ***** "Diferent cause and effect game" Cause and effect game play i play already -- tlion king no worries, 2021-12-26 ### ***** "Great" THIS IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING AND I LOVED THE TECH NOIR BIT! (Seriously check that part out it was great) I haven’t gone through all choices but still I recommend this to anyone. Also thanks for making it free. Keep up the great work! -- 273616, 2021-04-05 ### ****- "Awesome!" I like this game already! It’s fun, and I have a little idea of what it’s about. But it’d be great without the timer. I instead have to delete and redownload. Still cool! -- elliegambia, 2020-03-10 ### ***** "This game really has everything." I still have not played through all the options. What I have played is really fun. PS. Have you ever tried browsing the bookshelf? -- shadow worm, 2019-12-30 ### ****- "Just in case you ever needed an overcomplicated way to call 911..." This app's got you covered. Head to the park, and talk about your first world problems. Done! -- Radnk, 2019-10-29 ### ***-- "Gets confusing at times..." At first the game is good, but after a bit it starts to get confusing I have to read lines over and over to understand. But the game still has a pretty good concept -- Sashwath98036184718581774, 2019-08-18 ### ***** "Fun with lots of replay value" Just play through the first time; will definitely keep playing. -- B $tro, 2018-06-02 ### ***** "Now THAT's replay value." This game is amazing. I've played it like thirty times and I'm still finding entirely new plot lines. Epic. -- The Nova, 2018-05-14 ### ***** "Read." So I only played about 5 options until deciding to jump from a window so basically it’s a real life simulator. 10/10 would play again. -- nick_the_name, 2018-01-29 ### ***** "Free!" Really totally free, unless you count the ads. Fun, very fun. While many choices don't go anywhere, many go interesting places indeed. The writing is excellent, the pop culture references are delightful and you can find true love. Or the Terminator. Up to you. Update: I've been playing steadily for a month now. Still can't find the gun and I've never won the $10,000, though I lost it once (sold my bag for $10). I'd swear that I used to hear the results of my CPR rescue, but not anymore. Terrific game, nevertheless. Edit: FINALLY, after MONTHS, won the $10k! Couldn’t have been more anticlimactic. Don’t bother trying, but otherwise still a swell game. -- Ebouamfs, 2017-11-30 [View all My Day off Work reviews and detailed analytics on AppTail](https://app.apptail.io/signup?utm_campaign=ai-crawl&utm_content=reviews) ## My Day off Work In-App Purchases | Item | Price | |------|-------| | Remove Advertising | $5.99 | | Restart the Game Once | $0.99 | ## My Day off Work Discovered Keywords -
