About My Food Bag:
My Food Bag is a home delivery service providing quality, free range ingredients together with healthy, seasonal recipes prepared by celebrity cook, Nadia Lim, and her Development Kitchen team. Each week we get up early and hit the markets to find you the freshest local produce, meat and fish.
Our menus use only fresh seasonal produce, we always choose free-range and sustainably farmed products whenever possible (it tastes better, too). Your Food Bag arrives fresh at your door and here’s where the fun starts. Our recipes are easy to follow and you can save your favourites in the app to enjoy again later. Limited app.
Can’t print recipes which is a pain because ours were not delivered with the box. Not responsive - doesn’t fully adjust to fit the screen of the device you are using it on so you are stuck with a tiny mobile shaped interface on a tablet device. Basic design fail. Would be difficult to read the recipes easily if you need larger text or buttons. Also doesn’t have the calendar view that the website does to easily toggle deliveries on and off. There’s no advantage to having this app at all. Don’t bother.
Notification before payment
Y’know it wouldn’t hurt to send an email reminder before you charge credit cards. After pausing for 10 weeks, my food bag is not on my mind, then I get a the email saying I have paid for next weeks delivery, obviously with food I didn’t get to choose in time.
You send emails for everything else, how about near the end of a long break?

WORST COMPANY & SERVICE
I truly don’t get how they get away with such a poor service.
The whole way things are processed is incredibly frustrating.
Order was cancelled by not on my part then they were unable to fulfil what I requested & suggested another preset option or the following weeks menu which was not appealing to say the least.

Keeps saying “sorry something went wrong.” Makes it impossible to order my weekly recipes.

Don’t give these thieves a penny
We’ve cancelled after a delivery we’d skipped somehow “reinstated” itself and they charged us. MyFoodBag couldn’t be less helpful. That’s $110 practically stolen. So we’ll not give them another cent. The service has been getting steadily worse anyway with weekly missing items, very poor quality meat, deliveries just left in the street and menu choices getting blander and blander. It was a good practical idea especially with pandemic restrictions, but only worthwhile if you get a reliable quality service and not ripped off.
Mouldy food
I had a few items that had visible mould within a very short period. I had three items going mouldy including garlic and ginger.
Updated phone app
(-Unfortunately I can no longer use the phone app unless I want to purchase a new phone! Thanks for making things less convenient)
Since the developers extended the range of iPhones this works with I’m pleased to once again be able to use this app on the run so much easier and more convenient
Simple, easy to use, intuitive
Love the clear uncluttered screen, the use of white space, simple and easy buttons to click.
Navigation is easy, and I can find information I need and transact quickly. Compared To the old app it’s like the difference between linear tv and streaming. Good work MFB.
