## My Fountain Pens & Inks Description
My fountain pens is the application about all of your past, present and future fountain pens. It will give you an answer to the question: which fountain pens do I already have and why do I need one more? Or two?

The application enables the lovers of fountain pens to form their own personal database and keep track of their fountain pen and ink collection. The application contains detailed description of each fountain pen (manufacturer, model, filling system, etc.) which can be filled out directly or you can chose to import the information using Microsoft Excel or Apple Numbers.

Collection can be searched and sorted by manufacturer of model. Picture can also be joined to each fountain pen by taking it personally or using one from already existing gallery.

Probably the most useful feature is “price drops” where you can follow sales and special actions to expand your personal collection. At the end, don’t forget to stay updated: follow the most popular YouTube channels about fountain pens and add the ones you would like to follow, if already not included.

## My Fountain Pens & Inks Reviews in United States

### **--- "Great until you get a new phone"
Had over 50 pens stored. Got a new iPhone and their method for backup won’t allow me to import old phone data. So frustrating
-- gasmd, 2025-05-12

### *---- "Can't delete pens"
I originally gave this app 5 stars but I bought a pen that I se t back and there is no way to delete the pen, only edit. Who creates an app like this without adding a delete function? I will be deleting this app and going with the excel file I created instead.
-- DyreLogan, 2024-10-15

### ****- "Not a bad start…"
This is not a bad start for an app like this. It obviously could use a fair bit of improvement but I think it’s got the right idea. Sadly it’s very slow to start the first time but once past that it’s got the fields I would expect for tracking fountain pens and ink. That said, unless you go through the trouble of downloading the pen database mentioned in the settings the drop down menus are very limited. I feel that there are a number of improvements that could be made to make data entry easier. This isn’t a pretty app or UI but I don’t feel that’s a problem due to what this app does. The UI is functional and usable at least. The export/import option is a nice touch.
-- DisplacedCelt, 2024-07-18

### **--- "I want to like it"
When you scroll through the example photos for this app, it doesn’t show you how large and obnoxious the advertisements are. Swipe over to the “Ink Menu” picture and you will see the top half of the picture is blank. On the Pen Menu, that is where the advertisement is. You can turn off Google advertisements so it’s at least not a blinking-blaring flash of nonsense, but after that you get to look at Pelican, Sailor, and AliExpress ads. There has to be a purchase price or a subscription model to dump the ads. The ads are why I’m not keeping the app.

If/when that gets fixed, I’d love to see a field for pen weight. That’s an important variable for a lot of people.
-- Kate234, 2023-04-11

### *---- "Completely useless! Nothing but inputting your own list."
Not only do annoying ads take up half the screen space, you have to type everything in to get your “Ink Inventory “!
If I wanted to write out a list of my inks (along with 12 different attributes) I would’ve done it already.
I thought this would allow the user to scan barcodes and have a lot of information pre-populated…. Wrong! This app does nothing but give the user a format in which to enter all that information yourself. It doesn’t even group into colors. The “ink encyclopedia” only lists the brand name and the color name – gives no further information such as waterproof (or not), opacity, special attributes, RGB etc.
This app is useless and I’m deleting it right now.
-- Sandra Austin, 2022-07-04

### *---- "Not user friendly, way too many pop up ads.."
Thought I’d leave this review before I delete this app. I’ve wasted enough time trying to use this. The instructions were useless, ads constantly interrupting. The one pen I managed to enter never showed in the list. Such a disappointment.. Buh-bye.......
-- Pelikan42, 2022-05-28

### *---- "Ads"
The ads are larger than the app.
-- Lisa4Peace, 2022-05-27

### *---- "Great if You're Not Manually Adding"
If your pens are in their database, then it works great. If you have to manually add pens because they're not in the database (Noodler's flex pens, for example), then they won't show up in your collection. They'll display on the main page as having the number updated, but not actually show in the collection.
Super disappointing because it was a promising app.
-- Bellana, 2022-03-22

### ***** "Great app to keep track of all of your pens"
Easy to use to keep your entire pen collection organized… Even if you just want to keep track of the ink color in each pen
