What a great experience started with a lovely lady on the gate explaining what apartments we where staying in and directions to where it was and wished us a pleasant stay. Apartment was very clean with everything we needed for self catering. The site it’s self was well maintained and tidy. Everyone was so helpful from the bar staff to the shop assistant in the supermarket. Amazing value for money and will certainly be booking again. We like to think we are responsible dog owners we always take blankets and towels for dog. Entering caravan first impression was ok looked at sofa needs a good clean stains all over it. Went into bedrooms found double bed made up glad we took own pillows as stains on pillow cases. Next bed room quilt covers had brown stains and duvets were even worse so I did go to reception to complain and they were so quick bringing slightly cleaner ones. We made the most of our stay and did enjoy it. I understand it was towards the end of the season and perhaps less staff but having stayed in haven caravans before I would say Skegness needs some work and yes it was a bronze caravan but no caravans available at a higher grade if it hadn’t have been for the bedding and dirty sofa all in all a nice caravan. -- DWicksy, 2024-10-13 ### ***** "Lovely site" Great caravan holiday, had a lovely week. -- mammy's, 2024-10-11 ### ****- "Lake District site" First time at this site, caravan was great had one small problem with the Cooker but the staff were great and sorted it out quickly and was happy to help us , the two different apps worked well once we were able to get a better signal site web access would help as it’s a large site , was able too use the help info on the app only problem with the app was not being able to check out earlier than the usual day as left a day earlier? The only thing that was annoying was after waiting for a delivery of fish n chips mmmm the order was wrong and I had to drive back to the shop only to be told my order was correct? Until I showed them my order and they corrected it and gave it back to me only to find that they didn’t replace the order with fresh food so it was cold not impressed, the problem was that three young people were running the place with out the manager 🤔apart from that happy days 👋🏻 -- Wvm 13, 2024-09-19 ### **--- "The app is hard to use. Ask the staff for advice." Yesterday I changed a booking, swapping two bronze for a gold over the festive season. The booking still appears in the app. I’ve been trying to book extra accommodation but I cannot select the type of holiday home and because of this I won’t make a booking through the app. Presently I’m on site and they don’t charge you for editing a booking onsite. If you’re new to Haven please ask questions as there are types of accommodation that are not listed on the website. If I would have known about the various types of rooms the booking would have been much more straightforward. At the time of booking in April, I could not book gold accommodation. What’s unusual is that depending on the device you use and when you use your technology, you can get quite different prices as well as accommodation options. If you’re a Blue Light user it’s much cheaper to book directly with Haven. With my NHS ‘special deal’ I would have paid over £1.000 but booking directly I paid less than half for the same deal! I do want to send a note of appreciation to the staff who are friendly and responsive to resolving issues promptly. The customer service is very good. The app wants to do away with the lovely Haven Staff. Please consider paying the extra to speak with a customer care person and ask questions to get your holiday needs met as the website is not nearly as accessible or as knowledgeable as the staff. In our party was myself (disability scooter user ) my wife, my daughter ( who is blind )and our granddaughter and grandson. Every single need we had was catered for from children’s entertainment to seniors entertainment. Half way through our time at Marton mere my wife was taken Ill middle of the night, security were there within minutes and shortly after a ambulance. So when I say ALL our needs were catered for they truly were. I was the only person in the gents showers tonight.i waited approximately 5 minutes for the shower to get even warm. I went into the family room to try the bath taps. This was cold also and I cannot believe that anyone particularly a child could be put into a cold bath . Does no one report these things? Why do the cleaning staff not report it? Does no one check? Caravan fab , lots to do . I lost my I phone on beach , fortunately a man called Chris and his daughter found it and was on way to reception when my daughter phone it .
