I.e. fuel level, tire pressure, oil life, remote start, mileage and lock or unlock with status. For the price point this tech. aspect falls way below expectation and lacks urgency if I read other reviews. -- DGkzn, 2025-01-09 ### *---- "Disappointing experience" The myLexus app in South Africa lacks essential features that are widely expected in this segment. Specifically, I cannot access critical vehicle details such as the locked/unlocked status, fuel level, temperature settings, or tire pressure. Even the basic functionality of remote starting the vehicle to achieve a desired temperature is absent. This omission is perplexing, especially given the premium price point and the competitive segment where Lexus positions itself. Unlike other countries where these features are standard, South Africa seems to be an exception. As a first-time Lexus owner, I am thrilled with the vehicle itself, but the software integration between the app and the vehicle falls far short. When compared to similarly priced German and Swedish cars, the disparity is evident. Basic software integration should be a given, not a luxury, in this price range. Furthermore, the decision to essentially rebrand the Toyota app as myLexus for South African customers is disappointing.
