My Local Services delivers information on recycling and waste collection, parks, points of interest and more. It also allows you to report local maintenance issues and receive news from participating authorities.
The App is designed primarily for South Australian councils and only provides a waste collection schedule for subscriber councils mainly in South Australia.
If your council area is not a subscriber then limited functionality is provided ie: the ability to lodge a Report to any South Australian council and basic contact information for South Australian councils.
City of Charles Sturt Council wrong address many issues
The City of Charles Sturt fails to address many of the issues reported via the app including, but not limited to, graffiti on power poles, graffiti on power boxes (those huge metal ones), dumping on vacant lots of land, trashed and graffitied water towers, hoarders, dumped shopping trolleys, etc.
By contrast, when you use other apps such as Snap, Send, Solve, the issue reported is directed to the correct government body or other organisation. As such, My Local Services is made redundant for the reporting of many issues when compared to other apps such as Snap, Send, Solve.

I love that I get reminders the night before with what bins to take out so I don’t have to think about it.
More than one council area
I would like the app to be able to provide updates for more than one council area as I have two properties in two different towns

Notifications
The notification for waste pick up is late at night for the following day. Should be before sunset.
Not worth downloading
A very poorly designed app —after multiple reinstalls and setting adjustments I cannot seem to get any notifications about my weekly bin collection which is the primary reason for having it.
Not much of use
Use it for looking up waste collection data only. Not much of use else. Waste collection data should be made available as calendar subscription though.
Rate Payer
Please get the notification sounds working, they haven’t work in over 12 months, if you don’t want to give reminders, delete the option to use them...!
Pathetic
this app will not open. It won’t recognize your address. Type it in as pier invitation, and still will not recognize it. Just give up. Cant use it, it is not even friendly to open. No Stars at all for this product. It wont allow you to give it no stars, of course, so gave it one in complete frustration.
Cannot use app
Since last update in Aug2020
Keeps asking for my address, won’t let me use “use my location” also doesn’t find my address when entered manually.
