## My Solar Description
My Solar provides quick and easy access to up-to-date statistics for your home solar installation on iPhone and Apple Watch. 

Todays latest statistics are available direct in the app, via home and lock screen widgets, through notifications and also with Siri.

My Solar currently supports installations with Solis inverters.  Data is retrieved via the Solis Cloud API (freely available from Solis on request) or by using the open-source Solis Cloud Scraper project.  Details for both are available in the app.  Future versions will support different manufacturers inverters.

The My Solar app presents current power generation statistics, showing you details for solar yield, electricity consumption and both battery and grid usage.  In addition it also presents the same statistics for the day so-far.

My Solar gives you at-a-glance access to your data by exposing information through widgets that can be directly installed on your iPhone home and lock screens or complications to use on your Apple Watch face.  A variety of widgets are available to show individual or combined statistics, including current solar yield, current battery charge, electricity distribution, inverter temperature and a daily summary.  Widgets refresh automatically to show the latest data.

My Solar can also give you both a current and daily summary via Siri on all devices.  Just ask "Hey Siri, display current stats from My Solar" for the current data or "Hey Siri, display todays stats from My Solar" for a summary of today so far.  

My Solar can notify you when your home battery discharges to a certain percentage, e.g when it reaches its minimum discharge level.  It can also notify you when your home battery reaches a certain charge, e.g when you're approaching a full battery.  You're also able to set an inverter temperature threshold to be notified about.

With My Solar you can control the charge and discharge settings of your inverter.  This is ideal if you have a cheaper overnight tariff and want to charge your batteries ready for the next day, or discharge batteries via a feed-in tariff.  It's accessible right from the front screen and is simple and easy to use.  You'll need to contact Solis for access to the appropriate API, but that is very straightforward and details are included in the app.  My Solar will verify you have the correct API access before it allows you to purchase this upgrade, so you can have confidence your setup is correct.  My Solar can even remind you to update these settings on a daily basis.

My Solar will also synchronise your inverter timer with your iPhone.  No more fiddly setting via the inverter, simply tap the button in My Solar and your inverter clock will be synchronised with your iPhone.  You can also schedule a weekly background sync, so you never have to check again.

The My Solar app presents clear current and daily statistics on both iPhone and Apple Watch.  The iPhone app is where you configure your Solis Cloud API or Solis Cloud Scraper login details.

Fantastic app. It is so much quicker and easier to alter the charge and discharge times on my Solis inverter, than the steps you have to go through using the official app.

Also it’s great for just seeing stats at a glance, and the weekly time sync is priceless as the inverter time tends to drift quite a bit.

This app is so good, you forget all about the official ones until you need them again.

I love having the stats right on my wrist, and the best part is setting the charge/discharge schedule. It’s so much faster than the official app.

The only thing that could make it even better is an option to set the default minute increment to 1, 5, 10, or 30 when setting the schedule to match my tariff timing.

I’ve had my solar panels and battery for around 21 months now, been very happy with them generally, but the Solis app has been less than great throughout, especially when I want to set/change charge/discharge times, way to many hoops to jump through. Just wanted something simple, showing me what I needed to know at a glance. My Solar has given me that, especially since the ability to set charging times has been added, so easy. Importantly my wife wanted access to something she didn’t have to ‘phaff about with’, she now has that, so thank you. I particularly like the Apple Watch integration, which in my opinion looks great and works really well.

### ***** "Best solar app ever!"
Once you have got api access which you are guided through, you have the remote control of your inverter you should have always had. I can keep a regular eye on how my batteries are doing, how much I am generating on the pv and best of all I can set times to charge or discharge from the grid. Now I can even sync the time to my iPhone as I gain a few minutes every month on the inverter which is an issue. Absolutely brilliant app, well done!

I like this app - the interface is nice and uncluttered and offers at-a-glance view of the PV generation on a single screen or via widgets for both the watch and phone. My only request is to ask for support of multiple plants with data collated together. At the moment only one plant registered under the API is supported and it would greatly enhance utility of this application should the API poll all available plants under the API register.

The set up for this app is super complex. To release the api, there’s a 50 page document. I didn’t get past the first page. I suggest that this is only suitable for IT experts. I wasted paying for it :(
