So glitchy
The new update is too complicated and confusing !!! Bring back the old software
It’s pretty to look at but honestly feels the same as any other period tracking app I’m using the free version so not sure how many features there are when you join one of their programs but their insights/ analytics just lead you to pay for their products My cycle has drastically changed since I first started using the app and the analytics have not adjusted. The details about mood, pain, etc. have 0 impact on the overall analytics, the “diagnosis” that they give you or their suggestions on how to balance your period. You take one test in the beginning at the cookie cutter results are what you are suggested for the rest of your time. It’s not a bad app if you want to just track which day your period fell on, but I was hoping for so much more
I love the concept behind this and have really enjoyed Alisa on podcasts, etc. but the execution of this app is clunky and entirely geared towards getting you to purchase very expensive supplements. Even when I am advertised discount codes on said supplements, I'm told they aren't valid in the cart. The free information is along the lines of "eat more vegetables" or "try yoga this week". The most helpful module to me, the calendar, is not intuitive to use. For example, if I don't start my period in the app on the actual day it starts, it logs my period as one day and says that I'm in the follicular phase. The information that would truly move the needle such as grocery lists or supplements to try are paywalled. I'm not saying that information isn't worth it, but to someone not suffering from a major condition and just trying to reduce PMS symptoms, this app isn't it.
for the sake of profit
Great app, user friendly. I want a widget that says what day of the month I'm on
The app itself is actually pretty good. However, I am pretty disappointed at the “support” that is given. When signing up for the Cycle Syncing Subscription, it was advertised that it was that users could “skip” or “pause” their subscription easily and on their own. I was only 2 weeks into my month I just paid and decided to input that I needed to skip the next month’s subscription (assuming that I could continue to have access to the app version for the last 2 weeks of the month that I already paid for). When I tried to go back onto the app, it denied me access because my subscription had been “cancelled”. I contacted support and they said that if I in fact am NOT able to skip via the website, and if I try to push skip, the app registers this as it is cancelled. I emailed support and asked if they could please reopen my app (since this is what I am paying for and the app version has more options recipes/features than the web version) just until the end of my month I paid for. Support said that there was not a way to reopen to app version, but I still had access to the web version. I re-explained that I was disappointed because I had already paid but now was not able to use the app, and was only able to use the web which was limited. I told them 2x that I hope they either fix this early app closing and/or correct the false information about the skipping feature of the account and that I hope they can compensate me for the trouble and early closing of my app subscription. The reply from support once again just told me that I still have access to the website. They ignored the frustration behind no longer being able to use the app (which I already paid for), did NOT apologize for their mis-information, did NOT say they had any intention to change the false information about the “skipping” feature, and did offer any amends or compensation. VERY disappointed in the lack of ownership and willingness to do better.
Not only do you have to pay $8 for the app but you also have to pay $28/month in order to even use the cycle syncing recipes and workouts. Otherwise it’s just a normal period app :/ very disappointed and wouldn’t have bought it if I had known
I used this app for a few years for tracking my symptoms and learning what to do to help them. It was very user friendly and straight forward. Once I became pregnant I stopped using the app since it was geared towards menstrual health and not pregnancy. Now I’m postpartum, my period is back, and they’ve done some update to the app that COMPLETELY changed it. It’s super difficult to navigate, there are payment gates in way to many places of the app, AND you no longer get recommendations on how to help symptoms that you’re having. They just keep pushing their Cycle Syncing membership that is $28 a month! Like what?? What about us middle class moms with kids who just want to improve their menstrual health?! Alissa Vitti preaches menstrual health and female empowerment but this app is geared towards a very specific group of women, not ALL women. WHAT GIVES??
i used this app for years. recently there was a major update to it and it wiped out all of my data and history making it pretty much useless. seems like now they just want to sell you upgrades.
