No password lock for the Watch
The watch itself doesn’t have a lock capability. You can’t lock it using a password or code. If the watch is lost, it is wide open for anyone to access. Phone numbers, emails, contact list, texts and messages are wide open. How can this possibly happen in 2024? A device that can’t be locked!
Peace of mind
I thought I was being ridiculous by buying my 6 year old a watch before going To Disney World. We did get separated and did use it to locate our daughter. Well worth the investment.
Gabb App (Watch)
We absolutely love my daughter’s Gabb watch. It’s really nice to be able to communicate with her at all times, as things come up.
The app itself lost a star for two reasons:
1) Updates promise to assist with battery life. It hasn’t.
2) Only one parent can be in full control of configuration settings/contacts for watch. There are so many times my husband has to ask me to add something or update the app instead of just doing it himself because I’m the only one with privileges.

Peace of Mind for The Win
I love that my middle schooler has a phone to communicate with friends and family in a safe environment. The music selection is loved by him and as parents we have the peace of mind that it’s appropriate. The location tracking and gabb messenger alerts for screened texts is appreciated. I just wish that the watch and phone could use the same phone number and be compatible together.
Set up is difficult but once up it’s great
It will take several tries and patience to set up, but once up and working it’s great way to communicate with kids and keep eye on their communications.
Bad experience, seriously delayed GPS alerts
We bought this mainly for safety alerts for the GOs feature, it usually had a 5 to 10 minute delay on alerts when child went out of set zones, which for us defeats the purpose as a lot could happen in that amount of time. Customer service for technical issues was some of the worst we have experienced. Good for how much it limits media but overall can’t recommend for safety or customer service when actually in a situation where urgency would be essential.
My son would have been better off with a long range walkie-talkie
For the sake of your sanity! DO NOT purchase your child a #GABB phone! Nothing is more frightening than thinking you have a line of communication with your child & it fail. I was repeatedly informed when connecting the service that this phone works off of existing cell towers. It did not for us. The phone would only work at home while connected to WiFi. I didn’t realize this until I couldn’t reach him while he was playing golf with his friends. My heart sunk. Customer service is horrible & they take several “holidays” off & limited hours mon-sat, leaving you with basically zero assistance. I immediately went & got my son an iPhone SE with parental guidance. Easy to use & 24/7 customer assistance. I have full control & nothing can be deleted or downloaded without my approval. I’m sharing this to save other parents the headache. It took me 4 months to finally get a human on the phone to cancel. Natalie “the supervisor” made some very poor decisions. I gave her multiple opportunities to reconcile the matter, but she chose the “policy” route. So with that said, so did I. These companies hide behind the vail of “America based companies that care about the safety of our children.” Don’t fall for it. It’s always about the money. Which is fine, but if you’re gonna do so, you may wanna properly staff said company with forward-thinking individuals, before taking advantage of your customers. Natalie, I hope @StephenDalby / #stephendalby really appreciates you dying on that hill for $22. You should be ashamed. She accused me of not reaching out. How can you reach out when you can’t get anyone on the phone? This recount is 100% true & can be backed up with my outgoing phone records, should gabb take issue with me sharing my personal experience with their poorly constructed company.

Watch itself is poor quality
I’ve had to replace this phone 4 times. It gets the job done for talk and text but even that is very glitchy. The GABB app also has this forbidden alert when I try to change my display name to “mom.” This should be an easy fix! There are a lot of kinks this company needs to improve/work on for this new phone generation.
