This is without a doubt, the worst app interface I have used ever. It is mind-boggling how ineffective and inefficient this app is. If my child’s daily lunch didn’t rely on it you can be sure I would never use this terrible interface again.
So many problems with this company managing my kids spending account for his school and this app is the absolute worst. Seems like every month I have issues with adding funds and making pre-purchases of lunch options. Unfortunately the school and this company are fine with placing an undue burden on the parents and sometimes embarrassment on the child.
I have money in the account. I can no longer log into the account. Neither by App, nor via website. My login and password is correct. Contacting support by phone, or email is useless, since there is no response. Now comes the real scary aspect: - supports sends me an email saying that they have swapped my original password for my daughter’s first name. - I try it out with the app. I can log in! - I try it out via their website. I cannot log in with the new password (daughter’s first name)! - The website sends me another new password, different from my daughter’s first name. - I use that password to reset the password provided via the website. - The scary result: I can now log in via the app by using my daughter’s first name, as well as the different password I received from the website. What about unique, difficult to guess passwords? It certainly does not apply to this service. Multiple passwords seem to be okay. So much for online security.
This app is hot garbage and is so weird and awkward that I hate using it. It’s so clunky and just doesn’t make any sense. Whoever made this has a couple screws not just loose but lost.
Such a basic app that cannot seem to work. I cannot help but wonder how secure they are when they can’t keep such a simply process working.
How this app is being used by my child’s school is a mystery’s. User experience is horrible. Appealing to the school administration to move away from this app.
I have no idea how the company that runs “My Kids Spending” got into any schools, let alone is running this app across many schools. As a product manager in many startups I’m baffled at how terrible this entire platform is. They clearly do not employ a ux designer, a professional developer, product manager or qa team. Why are there two separate links to change your password and email? Why are there no “settings”? Why does auto funding turn off by default? Why do I have to request a statement? Shouldn’t that data just be available on demand? I feel like I could build a better app than this in under a month yet I’ve somehow been using this trash platform with zero improvements for three years now. I wish I could give this app negative stars.
This is really a very poor app and I truly do not trust the company with my bank account information. It seems phantom notifications - and there’s no way to find out what it’s whining about. The user interface is user abusive - it makes no sense and is as intuitive as a badly taught math class. If you can find an alternative I’d recommend using it.
It took me so long to register and now the app crashes every time I try to use it! 😣 Ugh
