It’s dose everything I need it to do. It records in my cab and on the road easy to download to my phone

When this app does work, it works very very slow, but your lucky when it does, and the dashcam 422GW is also temperamental I have found, aswell as my dads nextbase having similar problems and he has the slightly higher model

Emergency sos subscription. Be aware when purchasing this. As when the end of the year comes it’ll take your payment but will refuse to operate anymore. Even after numerous phone conversations with Nextbase.

Never worked properly absolutely rubbish don’t bother

Does absolutely nothing other than connect via WiFi to give you live dashcam view. All the actual functions you should use like file library do not work, so no way to get your files off of your camera into a digital device unless you take the SD card out and down load them onto a pc. So pointlsss having this app. Stuck with nextbase as it’s hardwired into my car for power. If it wasn’t I’d try another manufacturer.

The App is absolutely terrible. Impossible to view or download files. Constantly losing connection. Then unable to join. As a dashcam it works fine standalone, rear cameras constantly stop working though

Honestly the worst piece of software I’ve ever used unlike the camera (522GW) which is great (except the overheating battery affecting the screen). How hard it it to just make a basic app that downloads videos temporarily in the background and then lets you filter them? Download time takes a long time but that’s understandable, what isn’t understandable is I have to stay connected to the dashcam with my phone unlocked. Heaven forbid my phone automatically goes to sleep because you’ll have to start over and reconnect to the dashcam. Does the app temporarily download videos so download progress gets saved? No. Very easily could be a plug in product to a phone also, but is it? No. UI/UX department severely let down every customer who buys these dashcams. Just plug the SD card into a computer and ignore this app if you value your sanity. 1. Allow download with phone screen off 2. Add a ‘download all protected video’ button 3. Distinguish between times I press the record button and times I hit a pothole and it automatically saves. A red lock icon helps about 0% when rounded up. 4. Stop disconnecting from the WiFi every time the app is closed or phone turns off 5. Add a download bar for the love of god. If I’m downloading 20 videos, how long is left? Why is it stuck at 50%? God knows. 6. Fire the UI/UX department

Just bought the dashcam and has it fitted today, I can’t enabled the SOS feature because every time I try, the app crashes. For a paid feature, you’d expect a hell of a lot more than this, and I can see from countless other recent reviews that others are having similar disappointing problems with the app. Get it fixed, we’ve all paid a lot of money for the camera - back it up with the solid app as promised.

Connecting the iPhone version of the app to the 522 is proving to be a nightmare. ‘Unable to join network’ or ‘Could not find the network’ messages ad nauseam.
