## myPhonak Description
The new myPhonak comes with improved functionality and a new design to make your hearing experience as seamless and as tailored to your needs as possible. myPhonak provides you access to enhanced hearing controls and personalization options for your Phonak hearing aid(s) in addition to tracking your health data.*

The Remote Control enables you to easily make changes to your hearing aid(s) to suit your personal preferences for various listening situations. You can easily adjust the volume and various hearing aid features (e.g., noise reduction and microphone directionality) or select pre-defined programs according to the different listening situation you are in. Additionally, you can make quick adjustments to the pitch of the sound in the equalizer by using the presets (default, comfort, clarity, softer, etc.) or more personalized adjustments using the sliders (bass, middle, treble). 

The Remote Support allows you to meet with your hearing care professional through a live video call and have your hearing aids adjusted remotely. (by appointment) 

Numerous functions are available within the Health section such as Steps* and Wearing time*, including Optional goal setting*, Activity levels*, Heart rate tracking**, Distance walked and ran***.

Finally, myPhonak allows for configuration of Tap Control, setting up cleaning reminders and provides additional information, such as battery level and status of connected hearing aids and accessories.

I have the myPhonak app on my iPad. Control of the aids and setting personal preference programs are fine. However,I’d like an option to select my preferred program rather than the default on restart after charging.

I sometimes stream music via R-Phonak, and I’d prefer an option to not auto-connect that Bluetooth connection immediately after recharging the aids. I have to manually disconnect R-Phonak after each charge., otherwise all the iPad sounds from other apps are played through the aids even with the iPad sound output level at 0.

I’m new to aids and I’m very pleased to say they have transformed my hearing ability. My review is about the app, not the aids.

My child uses this app for her hearing aids. She finds it easy to use. But why is it a 17 yo rating to use it? Children, tweens and teenagers have hearing aids and need to use this app. Why do I need to increase the app content age restriction so they can access it?

My app has undergone an upgrade and things have changed. I have the settings on automatic and when a phone call comes in it used to switch to Bluetooth streaming and mic. Then it used to switch back to automatic. Now it does not switch back.  The issue is that sitting on Bluetooth it uses massive amounts of power and I only get 10-11 hours use where credit I would get about 16-18.
Recharge you say. … Nice if you are out and about - not practical.

Have been wearing hearing aids for over 30 years, the advancement in tech has been unreal. This app could use a few more features, like being able to adjust the default mode so you don’t have to keep changing the settings every time you wake up. Also the app doesn’t stream any music or audiobooks to the hearing aids either, matter of fact it streams nothing.

Whatever you look at for hearing aids Phonak is the worst ever! Phonak hearing  Aids are sooo expensive and so not worth the money. Frustrating! Have such a hard and difficult time to pair both, have followed all instructions but they just don’t work. In the two years I have had them 
they  have been to manufacturers about 5 times and they won’t replace them. A real rip off!!!

The old version of the app worked fine until the latest iPhone update. After that, the app wouldn’t connect.  So I followed the instructions and deleted then reinstalled the app. It connected, but Bluetooth couldn’t keep the connection.  It would show Connected, but if you closed and reopened Settings it went back to Not Connected.

I tried several delete / reinstalls. What worked best was to dump the app entirely. Bluetooth works fine without it, and that’s much more important to me.
