## myPhonak Description
The new myPhonak comes with improved functionality and a new design to make your hearing experience as seamless and as tailored to your needs as possible. myPhonak provides you access to enhanced hearing controls and personalization options for your Phonak hearing aid(s) in addition to tracking your health data.*

The Remote Control enables you to easily make changes to your hearing aid(s) to suit your personal preferences for various listening situations. You can easily adjust the volume and various hearing aid features (e.g., noise reduction and microphone directionality) or select pre-defined programs according to the different listening situation you are in. Additionally, you can make quick adjustments to the pitch of the sound in the equalizer by using the presets (default, comfort, clarity, softer, etc.) or more personalized adjustments using the sliders (bass, middle, treble). 

The Remote Support allows you to meet with your hearing care professional through a live video call and have your hearing aids adjusted remotely. (by appointment) 

Numerous functions are available within the Health section such as Steps* and Wearing time*, including Optional goal setting*, Activity levels*, Heart rate tracking**, Distance walked and ran***.

Finally, myPhonak allows for configuration of Tap Control, setting up cleaning reminders and provides additional information, such as battery level and status of connected hearing aids and accessories.

### **--- "Doesn’t always connect."
Whilst I can connect without any problems my hearing aids to my iPhone, I can’t always connect to the app. I have to switch them off and then back on, however even then they don’t always connect to the app.  Next step switch my phone off and on the try again, this works sometimes. A further step is to delete the app and reinstall it, this works. Totally unnecessary the app needs fixing.

The filters are very very difficult to remove and then replace.
Especially for anyone with poor eyesight or large hands.

This app is always causing problems. I keep losing connections at random. I get messages saying one hearing aid about to shut down because of low battery when nearly fully charged. I may have to return the fancy AI hearing aids if this not sorted within the next couple of weeks. 
Problems are clearly well known and allegedly being sorted but most irritating.

The app connects to the hearing aids over BT, but there’s no connection for audio or phone calls, just the useless app to the hearing aids. This app appears to confuse the phone connections .I had this on my older Samsung s20, and  thought it was just that phone,  so I removed the app, but it looks like it’s also rubbish on the i phone 16. Apparently you need 3x Bluetooth connections for Phonark to also use the app. I’ve now deleted the app as a waste of memory. I’m more interested in being able to mute notifications through the hearing aids, whilst still maintaining calls. And it would be handy for the hearing aids to reconnect to the phone automatic without turning them off and on for calls, not this app

Since using this app I’ve got negative thoughts and none responsive answers from developers team, if any answers at all ?? The will not consistently stay in settings it changes the setting to what ever it wants  ?? Very irritating it states bug fixing but l don’t think it does or has fixed these specific issues, I’m consistently removing and re installing to show the app so l can configure it to suit the user experience, plus once outside l can not change settings which generally fail. ??? My experience of using this app is totally negative, when emailing the company only to them tell me please contact your supplier  !!!  there support team has yet failed in response to my issues and given no reassurance or support for there app  l find it incredible that there is no follow up in support

This app is absolutely useless. You charge £5k for the hearing aids which, you state can be controlled via your app.

Your app is pathetic, unstable and frankly one of the worst support systems I have experienced. You are seriously taking your customers for a ride as your app continually crashes, personal programmes are wiped and adjustments to the aids impossible. 

I have registered my concerns on 3 occasions now and have not even received the courtesy of an acknowledgement.

If you’re looking to upgrade your current aids I seriously suggest you look elsewhere as Phonak clearly do not care about their customers in any way shape or form.

### **--- "Phonak App Keeps Dropping Out"
About 6 weeks ago, I purchased a pair of Phonak Audeo 90 Sphere hearing aids, which have been very good. But, I do seem to be having an issue with the Bluetooth connection dropping out on several occasions, hence the 3 star rating. I’m not sure if this is a fault with my hearing aids or the app, I will have to speak with my audiologist to understand what’s causing this problem.
If this problem could be resolved I would definitely give them a 5 star rating, because other than this issue, they are brilliant hearing aids.
Update to review.
Today (04-Dec-2024) I updated to the latest Phonak app, but unfortunately they still randomly disconnect from Bluetooth. I am not running any another Bluetooth device, my hearing aids are fully charged and I’m running the latest version of IOS on my iPhone 12 Pro.
There clearly is a problem achieving a robust Bluetooth link between the app and hearing aids as they should not keep dropping out.
Update to review.
Today (10-Dec-2024) yet again I still didn’t get an explanation as to why my hearing aid Bluetooth connection drops out. How hard is it the answer a simple question ?
Hence I have now dropped the star rating,

Since upgrading to iOS 18, my hearing aids won’t work with my phone. I’ve reinstalled, reconnected etc many times. I managed to get the hearing aids working through the phone by connecting through iOS Bluetooth. So the app isn’t working and I have lost the benefits of it.

I haven’t been able to open this application to connect my hearing aids for a few months now and it’s really frustrating! It keeps crashing upon opening even after redownloading and rebooting it still does not work

So frustrating 
I’ve read so many comments regarding the Bluetooth connectivity, I find it hard to believe it’s still a problem. 
I can choose the profile I wish to use in the app, within a few minutes the app has disconnected and hearing aids default back to standard setting, it’s so annoying. 
I’ve sent emails to phonak, told to speak to retailer audiologist, have spoken audiologist and they don’t have a clue. 
I don’t have a problem with any other device connected to my phone via Bluetooth, so it’s not an iPhone issue.
Disappointed, as these are not cheap to buy.

This app is meant to link with my Phonak hearing aids. The app constantly struggles with connection. Every time I open the app my personalised setting have gone meaning I have to make adjustments every day to suit a daily setting/circumstance. Trying to log in to my account and I can put in my email then get no further. Considering this is an app to support a disability - I am feeling decidedly discriminated against by this useless app which actually makes
my life even more complicated.
