Not a fan of this application. It delivers ads that are intrusive and distracting. Intentionally does not integrate with external systems so that way you are a captive audience required to use their app only to open the door. If I had known this was the way they were going, I would not have bought their garage door opener. On my next purchase I will find a garage opener that is not performing surveillance capitalism on its user base.

My main gripe with this app is the lack of CarPlay integration, which seems like a natural fit. It also offers limited options to manage guests, where they have to be kept active or deleted. I’d like to be able to keep guests inactive, activating them when I want to grant access to I don’t want them active all the time because I don’t want them having carte Blanche access to my house. I have to constantly delete users and then re-invite them to grant access, which is a pain. Lastly, the app has turned into an advertisement for their products. I don’t want to see this every time I use it.

When this system works it’s great, but it has never worked consistently more than a few months.  Support is next to useless, and even the online help is buried in the app, which is dominated by advertising that pushes some functions off the screen.   I complained about that over a year ago, but no response or fix.  

But if you just want to throw your money away they gladly take it.   Just don’t expect to hear back if you need help.

We’ve been using the MyQ app, a keypad, and traditional openers without any issues for a few years… until… we upgraded to version 5.275.0.  If you haven’t done so, DON’T!   The new app is MUCH slower and stalls out frequently.  Make it completely unreliable and useless.  Going back to 200% standard openers if this isn’t fixed by 2/1/25
