MyShake is a comprehensive and free earthquake app offering these features:
Earthquake Early Warnings

MyShake is developed by the University of California, Berkeley, Seismology Lab and funded by the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services. The Berkeley Seismology Lab conducts essential research on earthquakes and solid earth processes while collecting and delivering high quality geophysical data.

App is discontinued

The app does not work at all since over two months, no updates available either, I'm assuming the developers shut the project down and the app is discontinued. Do not download.

The app is great!

This app is very good, it alerted me about 6 seconds before shaking over here in El Centro in February. Overall, great app for alerts but there is a suggestion I want to make, there should be an option that lets you adjust the option at what minimum magnitude you get alerts from. And another optimization, is that you should be able to change the alert sound to a custom sound.

It worked twice for me now… but only if you aren’t right on top of the epicenter. Was interesting seeing the warning and then feeling the shaking about 10 seconds later.

We had an earthquake yesterday and I got the notification before the system notification through our cell phone service came out. I knew at least two minutes before the earthquake hit.

Earthquakes are scary, this app gives enough warning so that you can put yourself in a safer position.

10 seconds early today!

Previously alerts were 2-3 seconds after the earthquake concluded, but today I was notified 10 seconds early. This is a must-have app for iPhones until Apple natively implements early earthquake notifications

Worked today in San Diego!

I got a 10 seconds before heads up. Seeing that it was going to be 4.8 (estimated) completely changed the experience. I was able to sit comfortably and listen, and I heard it coming! If it showed a much larger number like 6.5 or higher, I probably would have tried to go outside, since I was right next to the door.

Alerted before the earthquake!

I received an alert seconds before I felt the earthquake today. So impressed!

Amazing

This went off 15 seconds before the earthquake this morning. Absolutely amazing!!!
