myVicRoads Reviews

Awful for digital license.

Duenan on

Australia

The App is absolutely awful. Constantly singing you out or requiring you to log back in using pin when you have biometrics set up or even worse constantly needing you to set up the app again over and over and even worse if it needs to update the app it won’t let you open it! When you actually need to use it to show your license it makes you jump through so many hoops, with the trouble I caused if you need it straight away without spending 5 minutes prepping it to use every time you might as well just carry your physical card with you.

Continual need to login destroys usefulness

Mstrathmore on

This app could have been good but it breaks one of the golden rules of User Experience: it has to be easier to use than the alternative. The app continually logs you out, so every time you really need to use it, you have to go through the long process to basically sign up again: (username/password, accept two terms and conditions, set a 6 digit passcode {again, you have to do this every time}, enable biometrics). What this means is, every time you really need the app, you waste your time redoing the login you’ve already done many times. If they fix this, the app will be good, but so far they haven’t even responded to feedback I’ve sent.

Log outs

Todd.Vincent on

Constantly logs out you, forcing you to setup the app again and again when you try to use your digital ID

License should be in Service VIC

EwanMe on

This app assumes that everyone has network are all time. #Fail I cannot use it to show Police my license as it hangs. The fact that I have to login every single time and click enable Face ID and a PIN again every single time I open the app means that whoever designed this thing is incompetent. “Who took the bribe” is all I can think of.

Continuously logs out

topher1976 on

How many times do we have to log on? Should be once and not have to log on every few days!! Whole point of biometric authentication!!

Waste of screen space

Banksalicious on

So what can you do with this app? Yo can have a digital licence. That’s it - you can’t do anything else affiliated with vic roads. Just the digital licence. And get ready to have to re-login every time you need to use the app - because who doesn’t love having to remember login details for that thing you use once every 6 months. If I could load my digital licence into Apple Wallet, I would delete this app quicker than you could say ‘waste of tax payer money’. I know VicRoads has low standards, but this app is next level poor

Underwhelming

Andrew McPhee on

The app only shows your digital license. That’s all. To see or pay your rego it sends you to the Vicroads website where you have to login and verify again. After you’ve already done that to get into the app. I wonder how much public money was spent on this underwhelming app?

Good idea, bad execution. No Apple Wallet support.

lugged2637 on

It’s fantastic that the Victorian government has finally caught up with other states and introduced digital licenses. However, the app frequently logs you out, and my most frustrating issue is the complete absence of support for Apple Wallet, despite Apple’s support for it since 2022.

Very low quality app

WonderfulC on

Frequently sign out with no reason. Remove and reinstall a few time, no help.

Automatic logouts are problematic

adamtheblackman on

Australia

I use this app as a replacement for my physical ID. The problem is the app will periodically log you out and you’ll need to reenter your password, authenticate with 2fa and then set up your pin and optionally biometric. Not a great experience if you need to show ID. Why does the app even need to log you out? Don’t you set up a PIN code and biometric so you can log in easily?
