This is the best investment in my baby, much better then branded clothes and other stupid toys. It creat comfort to us as parents, but even more for our son.
We are delighted with the functionality and the mobility options this babymonitor provides
It easy to use and has a very stable connection, we also feel safe with privacy provided by the two step verification always also on multiple devices.
App is good, but feature-focus is wrong!
Overall a good app. It does what a basic, cheap, nanny cam is supposed to do. And it looks nice and all. But... this is not a basic, cheap nanny cam.
I was disappointed with the sound quality. The sound almost sounds like white noise. (And no, I did not turn on the white noise).
I cannot sleep next to a phone that has that much noise - why is it so sensitive when other devices are all quiet, and only picks up the sounds from my son?
Also, I think it’s great with heart monitor features and measurements.. great fun, if you want to spend money on all the accessories for that. But what about basic stuff like HomeKit or Google Home integration? That would actually be useful so you could integrate this smart camera into your smart home? But no.. seems like development goes to “fun to have”-features, instead of “need to have”, or even “nice to have”..
Fix the network stability issues. My Ubiquiti Access Point says the connection is great, but your app says medium. It takes FOREVER for the camera to connect and load in the app - sometimes I have to restart the app first. And there’s so many glitches, constantly.
Also... a cropping feature would be nice. The camera covers way more than the crib. It’s great that it has a crib area and Parent Pickup zone. But, I don’t want to look at the Parent Pickup Zone when I open the app. So if I could just view the Crib area only, it would be nice.
And finally.... I just want to repeat: Get that HoneKit and Google Home integration done! It’s literally a “need to have” in a camera that cost that much, in 2021...
The iPad app is weirdly nerfed
I love having the Nanit app on my iPad! I can picture-in-picture and keep an eye on G while I’m working.
But I can’t do replays or see events from the evening. Those features are just completely missing!
Overall it’s a great app and does a lot but this is a bit frustrating.
Battery Drain
This app currently contains a bug that drains your battery while it runs in the background. The same issue existed 14 or so months ago before being rectified. Over the course of a normal day 45% of my battery will be consumed by this one app running in the background.
Functionality is good otherwise.
Love it!
Peace of mind when it comes to my baby and his sleeping patterns. 10/10 recommend
Great camera!
Excellent camera. Only complaint is that it drops the internet sometimes and take time to reconnect. That may be my internet though.
Overpriced subscription model
It’s unfortunate that this camera requires an expensive subscription to offer basic functions such as reviewing recorded video clips.
Makes it Easy
Extremely pleased with ease of use and reliability of our Nanit cam. We travel quite a bit and never have any issues. The last thing you should have to worry about when caring for your child is faulty tech. The app is well designed and easy to use, as well.
Waste of money!!!!
I can’t believe this is as expensive as it is when 80% of the time the app lags, freezes and gives inaccurate reports. I have never been so frustrated by a monitor. So overpriced. Save your money.
Still Going Strong for 4 Years!
We got our Nanit cam back in 2020 and still use it everyday. The subscription isn’t cheap but the device and service is of such quality, I have no problem paying it. The night vision works perfectly and the image is clear and crisp with relatively low latency. Only thing I wish is the app on the Amazon Echo show was improved to reduce latency which is about 3 seconds longer than the iPhone and it times out after a little while.
