How much does Nanit cost?
Nanit has several in-app purchases/subscriptions, the average in-app price is £164.99.
Both our children have a Nanit. Even though we don’t use the breathing detection functionality I still love the cameras for their excellent quality of the image and sound and for being able to easily move the camera head between the permanent and the travel stand.
Not near as good as expected
The best thing about the Nanit is the overhead monitor stand, everything else is sub par and also an absolute joke they charge >£70 for a basic package each year despite us already paying a premium for the camera unit. The white noise quality is very poor, so we use a portable one which makes more sense anyway. The breathing monitor wrap arounds would only be something you’d use if you had a very poorly baby. Otherwise the whole alarm feature is a pure marketing spin and no very accurate. I’ll be changing cameras as a result.
One of the worst apps ever encountered
For the cost of this monitor I’m shocked at how terrible the app is. Takes forever to connect to the live video and is always delayed. Often sitting up in the middle of the night waiting minutes to be able to connect and turn off the light. Not ideal for sleep deprived new parents! In hindsight would not have wasted my money on this unnecessarily costly monitor.
Perfect monitor
I bought a vtech monitor and had loads of problems , eventually swapped to Nanit and best thing I have done so easy to use no problems at all have had for nearly a year now , I have also bought the Nanit night/sound light so good
Excellent, tips to help sleep thru the night
We have used Nanit for both of our boys and the advise and tips it provided along the journey at key times really helped and our boys did sleep better.
I would recommend. It’s also great if you are away from home and can spy in to check on your baby
Terrible Software
If you plan to use your Nanit at home and give everyone admin access you’ll be fine. However, if you plan to have a nanny or any other “viewer” Nanit consistently fails. If you plan to travel and want to use your Nanit in a hotel, it will consistently fail. Nanit only works in a lab tested environment. Sadly Nanit fails in the real world.
Best monitor I’ve had for sure
I’ve had 3 smart monitors and Nanit is by far the best one. I’m really impressed by it, I’ve had it for over a year and it’s by the far the best one - least glitches, best features, most helpful design.
Best monitor ever!
Can’t believe I survived baby #1 without this monitor! It has been a life saver with baby #2
Great Cameras
Amazing cameras, very simple an easy to use. Shame that the subscription service is per camera and not per household, especially when the cameras are already very expensive.
Best app from newborn to toddler
We have had our Nanit for two and a half years now and it has been the best thing we ever bought for our baby. The breathing band and monitoring were essential for our peace of mind when our daughter was a newborn and now we love that we can use the nightlight for our toddler now that she’s starting to dislike the dark. The fact we can check on her when we are out to dinner or away from home and have a babysitter is amazing and means we can truly enjoy our night knowing that she’s safe and cared for while we are away. Truly the best thing you can buy for your child.
