Every match is quick, tactical, and surprisingly deep. HOW IT WORKS Two players take turns on the same Watch. Tap a piece to select it, tap a valid square to move. It's that simple. REAL CHESS RULES, COMPACT BOARD Six piece types: King, Queen, Rook, Bishop, Knight, and Pawn — each with authentic movement. Full check and checkmate detection. You cannot move into check, and pinned pieces stay pinned. Stalemate recognition for fair draws. Pawns auto-promote to Queen when they reach the far rank. DESIGNED FOR THE WRIST Clean 6x6 grid with large, tappable squares that work on every Apple Watch size. High-contrast filled pieces — white vs. black — readable at a glance. Haptic feedback on every move: a tap for success, a buzz for invalid attempts. Visual highlights: green for selection, dots for legal moves, red for captures, and a red king square when in check. FAST & FOCUSED No timers, no accounts, no internet required. Just open the app and play. A typical game lasts 2–5 minutes — perfect for a quick break, a commute, or settling a bet. PERFECT FOR Chess fans who want a faster format Friends looking for a quick wrist-to-wrist challenge Beginners learning piece movement and tactics Anyone who loves strategy games on the go Nano Chess. Big tactics. Tiny board. ## Nano Chess Screenshots - [Screenshot 1](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/48/58/7b/48587b61-d169-f854-6264-edec5669c52f/chess_ss_3_1770720503822_2.png/422x514.png) - [Screenshot 2](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/8a/7f/a8/8a7fa836-78ba-e466-cf50-fc4c4f4d66b9/chess_ss_1_1770720446608_2.png/422x514.png) - [Screenshot 3](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/9a/2f/48/9a2f487c-85d7-887f-8de7-9726976dcbd5/chess_ss_2_1770720486635_2.png/422x514.png) - [Screenshot 4](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/0d/de/e1/0ddee11b-9d81-3dcf-126d-783f7fa8afca/chess_screenshot_2_1770720060001_2.png/422x514.png) - [Screenshot 5](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/aa/5d/0b/aa5d0b88-cd52-eb8d-22ae-bb3f6b4e792a/chess_ss_4_1770720547500_2.png/422x514.png) - [Screenshot 6](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/c1/ba/72/c1ba7270-9713-77f9-fbf8-498bfd5f53ad/Screenshot_2026-02-11_at_20.19.14_1.png/422x514.png) - [Screenshot 7](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/08/1d/be/081dbe45-3211-9b8e-fa40-c8fd303cb69e/chess_screenshot_1_1770720006255_2.png/422x514.png) - [Screenshot 8](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/d3/44/37/d3443769-747a-22ee-e021-2444d479a2c4/Screenshot_2026-02-11_at_20.18.54_1.png/422x514.png) ## Nano Chess Available In - [Austria](https://apptail.io/app/nano-chess-mini-chess-zbDy/austria) - [Czechia](https://apptail.io/app/nano-chess-mini-chess-zbDy/czechia) - [Netherlands](https://apptail.io/app/nano-chess-mini-chess-zbDy/netherlands) - [Pakistan](https://apptail.io/app/nano-chess-mini-chess-zbDy/pakistan) - [Türkiye](https://apptail.io/app/nano-chess-mini-chess-zbDy/turkey) - [United States](https://apptail.io/app/nano-chess-mini-chess-zbDy/united-states) - [Vietnam](https://apptail.io/app/nano-chess-mini-chess-zbDy/vietnam) --- ## About AppTail [AppTail](https://apptail.io) is a mobile app intelligence platform providing app analytics, ASO (App Store Optimization) tools, keyword tracking, competitor analysis, revenue estimates, and review monitoring for iOS App Store apps.
