The voices (in premium) are excellent, especially making my own voice & I find it better than alternatives in that respect. Also, the highlighted text in combo with the voice helps readers with attentional focus. I think if it took a look at improving the other non-voice functionality (see Matter as an example) then it would be a killer app and come much closer to delivering on the price tag.
Particularly useful for people with difficulties in concentration and attention, learning difficulties and disabilities, as well as those who prefer to hear their text or who are listening while travelling. Issues with some updates, but usually easily fixed with a reset of the app.
Maybe useful for visually impaired people, for those who maybe want to listen to one or two PDFs don’t bother. The recurring price could never justify the not at all natural sounding voices and mispronunciations.
I get tried of the smoke and mirrors used to get the download then after a useless amount of time gotya time to pay.
This app is amazing. Not gonna lie the ai voices are very expensive($30aud), but they’re pretty good and not that much more than my old audible account. The reason however that this not 5 stars is because I’ve paid all this money just to find out my fist day using it that there is a 24hr character limit!!! Now I understand the average user would likely not hit it, however if we’re paying this much money in the first place there shouldn’t be a limit full stop! And the fact that they don’t make you aware of this limit beforehand is deceptive. Unsure at this stage if I’m going to keep my subscription or not.
The best AI reader I have tried, but it is still expensixe.
Good just somethings like to page colour could being only white otherwise pretty good on ios or pc
Works well with some pronunciation errors … would be better if it didn’t need to convert .epub to .pdf before commencing to read … should be able to read e-book formats without conversion!!
It is brilliant, easy work ,natural voice , it was good if considered silence between sentences.
I'd gladly pay $10 to own this outright. $18.99 a month is just silly. Free A.I can read this stuff in a more convincing way for free and answer questions from the text if needed.
