I love the free version. Easy to sync across devices too!
I used to use the free version but they really lowered the quality so only the paid version is worth it, I think it’s too expensive personally but I use this everyday for assignments and books. It’s really handy. Customer service is also a little weird where you get AI generated responses which isn’t helpful especially because I do actually look through pages on why things aren’t working so when I contact customer support I want a real person. There isn’t another text to speech app that works as well as this one, so I recommend it until something cheaper replaces it
Back in feb I had a tonsillectomy and I couldn’t talk at all - not only was it painful but took a long time to try and get words out. My friend showed me this app and it helped immensely with communication and now I use it to help me with my college books. It’s truly wonderful and helped me in a time of need. The fact that’s it’s free helps as well!
I have been using Natural Reader for the last couple months while I work outside or around the house, all while using it completely 𝘧𝘳𝘦𝘦. In that time I’ve listen to ~130 hours at around 400 wpm. There is so many features and ways to listen, it’s amazing! My favorite features: -I can use it offline after I load a pdf/webpage -I can change the speed to insanely fast levels -I don’t 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥 to pay for it (the free voices are really not that bad, especially compared to the old google ones) -the library is nice to store stories I’m half-through -the fact that I can go from my phone to my computer because I have an account My absolute favorite feature is the add button. It gives so many options to listen. Everything from pictures on my phone to a webpage link. It allows for such flexibility when it comes to listening, I love it how versatile it is! Some problem I’ve faced: -whenever the library get too full (like ~50 files), your past stories either take forever to load, or just don’t (I just have to delete them every month or two) -when in library, you have to hit the logo (N) to find the select tool. I know I’ve hit the search button a couple times trying to select the documents -every now and then, the app will miss a letter or a sentence. This is really only when doing images or documents (like pdf). It’s rare but noticeable after a couple hours. (It also tends to happen if a sentence is in-between two pages on a pdf) All in all, I can’t express how amazing this app has been, while being able to use it for free as well! Thank you to the developer(s) who have put hard work into Natural Reader, I’ve loved every moment while using it!!
Expensive, for me worth the money. I can’t see well enough to read very much, so I like to listen. The problem is, I like the plus voices, which I can only use 500,000 times which sounds like a lot, but each word is counted as two. The only thing is the counts are calculated in a confusing manner, because those counts accumulate pretty heavily, and trying customer service is wonky at best! So I accept the usage of the app with caveats.
The AI voices are smooth and just a pleasure to listen too. My writing has never sounded so good read out loud.
This app got me through my graduate degree and the sheer amount of reading required. It was very easy to take PDFs and upload them to read. It took a couple weeks to get used to listening to the voices, but Nicky is now my go-to gal! I’ve tried other text to speech apps and this one is the most convenient for PDFs and websites—either upload or insert the URL and it’s ready to go! One star taken off because sometimes the voice would stop reading even though the text kept moving forward, or none of the articles would show up in the screen. Usually removing and then adding the app again would do the trick.
Great voices. Mostly fluent speech. There have been some glitches over the years that they have been very committed to correcting. It works flawlessly now 90% of the time. But would like to see more voice choices added that are more natural. Great great app overall.
It’s okay but you need to pay money for voices
I couldn’t get through all my reading at school without the help of natural reader. Natural reading doesn’t only help me with my reading for school, but also all the other reading I need to do for my profession thank you NaturalReader for making this easy to use and very helpful product.
