The reader Pauses regularly and sometimes all the voices are the same, I am listening to a voice I like and suddenly it changes into a voice I don’t like and no matter what narrator I try they all have the same voice. Haven’t been able too listen to one whole book without these problems. I have cancelled my subscription and would not recommend

Rarely have I been more frustrated with an app. When I open it to read files in Chrome I don’t get the option to log in and use my favorite voice- instead I’m forced to select a voice like I’m a new customer and only then can I log into my account. The app gives me a new voice for a higher price tier which has a limit on it, forcing me to interrupt my work and go searching for my preferred voice. I’ve worked in software design since 1997 and have rarely seen customer service this bad except in scams. I requested a refund shortly after I realized the forced upsell interface /dark pattern problem. They only gave me a portion back several emails and months later when the subscription was nearly over. STAY AWAY UNLESS YOU INTEND TO BUY THE MOST EXPENSIVE PACKAGE AND USE IT ON YOUR PHONE. I’m making a complaint to the EU consumer board, the upsell tactic falls under dark patterns/fraudulent interface design.

I was buying a year subscription the third time in row. I’m studying for Master Degree in Leisure at University of Iceland and I read slowly and should understand better for my opinion. Having had the NaturalReader has made my stay at UI easier for me. I listen to researches where I save them to my computer, buy digital books, scan each chapter in books to be able to listen. Also I take screenshots. And the sweetest thing is I can even listen to Karl and Dóra Icelandic voices in double speed. I recommend NaturalReader for everyone- I bought and have been buying PLUS subscription and the quality of voices are better - I recommend people to spend extra money on that. Elín form Iceland

I want to use the voice-cloning option in order to use a voice of someone who has a nice one, but after actually using it, it gives a FIVE MINUTE daily usage before you can't use it anymore. It's behind a subscription which I'd have to pay, which is not worth it for me personally. I don't understand the fact that its daily for five minutes, but regardless, I want to suggest making the voice cloning actually free. I know this review will likely do nothing to change it, but if anyone does read it, do consider it. Do not attempt to convince me to buy it too.

Just getting started but this is one of the best.

I recently started using this app and I really like it! My only complaint is that the AI narrators can’t distinguish between Live (adjective) and Live (verb). The pronunciation is the same for both! I know the English language can be a tricky bugger, but hopefully as this technology advances that this problem will be solved. Otherwise I will continue to use it and even recommend it to others. Overall the app is worth the squeeze. Copying and pasting text reads greats, but OCR is a tad bit lacking. It’s easy enough to upload photos of pages and it picks up just about everything, but will occasionally have trouble pronouncing words, will pause in strange ways (implying a period where there isn’t one) and so forth. I originally intended to use this as an alternative to audiobooks when the audio version wasn’t available for purchase, and listen to books while on walks. While it will overall do good, I feel that I’d still miss important content if I did that. The best setup has been to follow along with the book, which has helped increase my pace significantly. It is a bit pricey, even putting aside the minor imperfections. But is it worth it? For textbooks that are dreadful to get through slowly, definitely.
