I use Natural Reader to read translated webnovels while i work. So many of these books have complex East Asian names. I am so impressed with the add pronunciation function as the AI is able to learn the new pronunciation as long as I give a phonetic reference. Eg. Gu Yan —> “Goo” Yan. Hopefully the AI expands to include more ethnic reading voices.

Only downside is that it is expensive.

The app gave a free trial for 5 minutes and then asked me to pay $85.98 to use beyond. When I paid, it gave me a half assed upgrade and said it will cost $160 to get what I originally paid for. It is scamming people by making You pay $85.98 and then forcing You to pay another $80 to make it usable

I purchased premium membership and hoped to get a natural sound as shown in their demo. but the sound from text book I have to use this app still sounds like robot! Just slight better than the free version. You can only re-upgrade to an even more expensive Plus version to get a real natural sounding voice. I hope I could get my money back.
