Charts no longer available for paid earlier version

Subaru Finland on

I purchased and paid the earlier version few years ago. There was one fixed prize for unlimited use. Suddenly the prizing went to yearly renewing method but my downloaded offline charts was still available. That was good thing. I used them few years but now I got a new phone and I was signed out from the app automatically and my charts was gone! I have paid them earlier so it’s very sad and propably illegal to change terms for old users in that way.

Lifetime subscription gone?

Rotta edward on

I bought lifetime license 2019 and now the app is locked. The new app doesn’t work either. When trying to log in server response fails. Last instruction to restore purchases is to give a nickname. All I have is the app store receipt.

App becoming non-functional while en-route

stay away while I'm sailing on

I’m a satisfied user of the app for the second year now. Yesterday, while navigating in some tight spots the ios app requests signing in or creating a new user account. No obvious ways to get back to the navigation page or any other page. App restart did not help either. Boat is moving at 7 knots in 20 knot gusts of wind and I need to find the safe route through a narrow passage between islands. Absolutely no time to start creating a new user account. This is completely unacceptable. I have paid for the app and sign-in has never before been suggested. I’m not against user accounts, but I strongly insist the app to remain functional while in use. Gladly Navionics was not the only method of navigation on-board and we got home safely. I ditched my earlier navigation app due to similar incident. Please tell me that Navionics can do a better job than this.

Can not be restored

Ralf-80 on

I bought a licensce that is forever. However i can not restore it to my nee phone. The customerservice just sends multiple links that dont work. Almost like they try to make me give up. I have proof of purchase.

Too few routepoints available

Jhgjhgjhgjkgjv on

Autorouting waypoint count too small for Finnish archipelago area. Even a 35 nautical miles route can’t be designed!

”Too many waypoints”

Kristoffer1979 on

Even short trips easily get an ”too many waypoints” -error

Charts lost

Z Puteter on

I moved over to this from Navionics Europe charts with an expectation that my old charts would be available in this app as was indicated (the charts have disappeared from the old app). No charts were available but I had to create an account and would have needed to subscribe to this service. No. Will not - I have already paid for the chart and expect to have access to it. I will use iSailor from now on.

Autorouting problems

jajsosndjslksns on

Hi again, Thank you for your response. As you suggested, I tried to send email from within the app but when I select ”Submit Feedback” I get prompted ”You’ve not set an email address”, although I have indeed set an email address which I can see in My Profile. Any advise for next steps? Hi Downloaded the app to test whether to buy Navionics map for a Simrad display. The two first attempted routes failed to autoroute: 1. Lake Näsijärvi, Finland. From 61 50.409 N 23 53.905 E To 61 31.285 N 23 46.103 E Autoroute ”routes” a straight line between the two points, like drawn with a ruler. 2. Turku archipelago, Finland. From 60 4.364 N 19 55.730 E To 60 15.175 N 22 31.739 E Autoroute only routes part of the trip, and prompts ”Too many points”. Around the same waters the autoroute also claimed that the route is in Swedish waters and hence the trial period would be shorter. For comparison, Sailmate does both mentioned routes without any problems. Can I expect this to be fixed in Navionics any time soon?

Question

jaamikkon on

If i remember correctly, I bought a one-time subscription when that was the pricing for the app. Now i have to buy yearly subscription to get all features?
