Endring på antall iOS enheter

BerntCJ-5 on

Good Maps, unreliable routing

LauridsNO on

Like the app in general, but the route plotting option seem to be quite unreliable. I spend hours plotting a route up the coast, and then the app just crashes. This happens several times. And the options for saving routes halfway and editing them later are quite counterintuitive and not so greatly implemented. Improvements to the the route planing features would greatly improve the app.

Manual waypoint editing functionality diminished

Fedup sailor on

Previous functionality for editing manually plotted routes seems to be gone in this so-called upgrade. Previously you could press a waypoint to get an opportunity to delete it when editing a manual route. Also, you could just press the line between two waypoints to put in a new intermediate waypoint in between the two previously routed. The usual routine when plotting a new route would be to put just a few waypoints first for a crude route with mostly straight lines and then add more waypoints as needed to fine tune the final route before syncing with my Raymarine MDF. With this app, the only possibility you seem to get when editing a route is to remove the last waypoint. This makes plotting a manual route very cumbersome! I started out with Navionics at the very early stage where you bought the map once and for all (like a paper chart). It was both cheaper and better than paper charts in my opinion. Then they changed the concept to yearly subscriptions (with an app upgrade where you lost your previously bought map) along with a huge success commercially coinciding with a tremendous growth in users willing to pay. Ok, the product was still good, developing and the maps where upgraded, so I decided to support the project and would pay my yearly fee. Now, with the recent upgrades you risk being tricked into paying for the same product twice (if you install HD version on your IPAD and the regular version on your phone). With the amount of sonar data sea bed mapping that now is being gathered by end users and uploaded to Navionics for free, Navionics should probably go for a discount instead of a price rise... In addition the functionality seems to be diminishing instead of improving. Getting people to pay more for a worse quality product seems to be a short term genius from a greedy point of view. However, I don’t think that strategy will be very stainable. There are many free alternatives to electronic marine charts... Functionality within the app better be This issue regarding manual routing needs a fix before I am willing to pay another yearly fee.

Ikke stol på kartdataene.

Mk19831234 on

Struggling on IPhone X

Hans Erik Syversen on

Choosing "head up" makes the map lag all the time, so I cannot navigate at all. A must fix or uninstall. Otherwise app seems good.

Dobbel Pris

Jørgen25 on

Rout / Ruter

Helsikeheller on

Nice with auto-routing

Betta_1964 on

Would like to have possibility to have several boats. I use the app both for Power, Sail and Paddle. And I'm missing m/s meter per second as unit for wind speed.

Nummer 1

Tobias Alfredsen on
