I called the NBT hotline and a very pleasant chap was not sure how to help but suggested updating the app ( dah, why didn’t I think of that). I recently opened an account with this bank. Long story short my account has been open for more than 30 days and they are still holding my money for 9 business days. The deposited check has been cleared as I can’t cancel the check and they said I was unable to close my account. So they are holding a large amount of my money for a week and a half. They said they might be able to make all if it or some of it available at the branch and someone denied it. I understand policy but being it’s over 30 days now and not a new account, the check is already cleared, so it’s not a question of is the check real or not. The fact I was left with no money over the holidays and the first of the months has cost me hundreds of dollars and marked up my credit with late payments. I’ll be taking every penny out of this bank as soon a possible. -- BK777, 2024-12-03 ### *---- "Inconvenient compared to other banks" Decided to pay off my solar loan early because nbt has been apply 100% of my payment to interest. Nbt will only let me transfer a max of 2000 a day and 5000 a month from an outside bank.
