Broken App - Charged Multiple Times for HOV Lane Usage
The new app does not always submit your HOV declarations, so even if you follow the rules by having 3+ passengers and register your vehicle 15 minutes in advance, you may still be billed the rate as if you were a solo traveler.
I’ve had this happen to me multiple times and have contacted NC Quick Pass via email, online form, and phone to dispute the fees. Each time the dispute has been denied without comment. On top of that, the claims take up to 30 days to review and you accrue additional fees during the review period.
When I asked how I can confirm that my declaration from the app was received by NC Quick Pass to avoid future fees, the supervisor said she was not sure and suggested I no longer use the app and instead call to declare my status or purchase a different transponder and avoid using the app.
I would avoid using this app unless you’re okay with late surprise bills.
This app should be deleted
Reset my password and username several times but just couldn’t sign in. Think this app should be deleted until their issues are resolved.
App is just trash
I followed the sign up process and it shows me there’s an error. Tried to reset the password and it shows me reset is success but when I tried to login, it says login invalid. Tried to pay directly there’s again another error. Holy this app is trash so it’s your website so is your database
Terrible first impressions
Somehow my wife got this to work on her phone, but attempting to create an account in the app, in a browser (3 different times over the course of three days), and on a different device resulted in errors and failures every time. Then, when trying again, it would prevent me from using previous usernames, because even though it errored out, it registered my proposed usernames (though using the forgot password feature still resulted in it not recognizing it).

New App
I love the new app. This is extremely helpful and so easy to use. The employees at NC Quick Pass are wonderful to work with.
Error messages while trying to set up account
I’ve been trying to set an account for months now and keep getting error messages. I tried using the forgot password function and never received an email and was given a phone number to call if I didn’t receive an email. I was unable to call because I was working 12+ hour shifts seven days a week. finally able to call today and the late charges are much more than the toll charges and they said there’s nothing they can do. this is bad profits and it’s a horrible way for any company to do business.
Can’t login
App throws unfriendly user error “API returned an Error”.
Website also appears to be down returning a 403, which is likely the reason I can’t login.
Very poor excuse for customer support
I have a trip I need to pay for. Won’t allow me to create an account to pay toll. Very poor coding implementation. Obviously not use cases created for app. It is a challenge to collect large quantities of payments for small amounts. A good app would increase collections. I’m a retired IT Data Architect with 46 years experience.
Needs flexibility on adding vehicles
Used this for a rental car in the Chicago area. App would not let me add the rental car, had to delete my personal car first. Also did not allow me to go back in date/time for the rental car. My old IL tollway site let me add unlimited cars and also allowed to back date/time. There are times when leaving areas such as airports that you go on tollways immediately.
