Architect Registration Examination (ARE) is a computerized exam that assesses candidates for their knowledge, skills, and ability to provide the various services required to practice architecture independently. The ARE concentrates on those services that most affect the public health, safety, and welfare. The ARE has been developed with specific concern for its fidelity to the practice of architecture; that is, its content relates to the actual tasks an architect encounters in practice. This examination attempts to determine the candidate's qualifications not only to perform measurable tasks, but also to exercise the skills and judgment of a generalist working with numerous specialists. In short, the objective is to reflect the practice of architecture as an integrated whole.

National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) is the organization that offers Architect Registration Examination. National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) is a nonprofit corporation comprising the legally constituted architectural registration boards of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands as its members. Its mission is to protect the public health, safety, and welfare by leading the regulation of the practice of architecture through the development and application of standards for licensure and credentialing of architects.

## NCARB ARE Exam Prep 2017 Edition Reviews in United States

### *---- "Poor Quality"
Is it possible to get a refund? How is it possible to have this many mistakes?
Why not fix them?
I have reached a point that I’m literally scared to trust anything that I read on this app.
I’m shocked at the amount of mistakes.
If I could give it a zero rating, I would.
-- Ken13579675, 2019-08-31

### *---- "App needs a lot of clean up"
Multiple spelling errors and possible answers seem to be jumbled between the wrong questions once I got to quiz 4 or 5 of CDS, so they are not effective as quiz questions.
-- GT1Kentucky, 2018-03-16

### *---- "Errors"
Lots of spelling mistakes and errors. Fine for a simple review session but not reliable.
-- Arch112345, 2017-07-06

### *---- "Not very good"
Questions are poorly written with answer being obvious. Not a good study resorce
-- eyem3, 2017-05-18

### *---- "Needs Improvement"
The app is full of typos. Also the multiple choice question choices make it very easy to determine the answer because they don't relate to each other. Some questions refer to images that are missing which makes it impossible to answer the question. Doesn't really help the studying process. Don't make the mistake of paying for this app like I did.
-- delantrea, 2017-05-06

### *---- "Good idea, but needs a lot of work"
A lot of spelling, grammar, and punctuation issues. Also, the exam portion is not very helpful - most of the answers for each question have nothing to do with each other, therefore making it way too easy to determine the correct answer; sometimes the correct answer restates the question; some answers are questions themselves. Due to this, it's not very helpful in learning the material. In general, it's a good idea, but still needs a lot of work. For me, it's definitely not worth the $6.99 to unlock the full version.
