Preparing for the National Counselor Examination can feel overwhelming. There’s a lot to cover, limited time to study, and one big question: what should you focus on next?

PrepLab gives you a clearer path.

Built specifically for NCE exam prep, PrepLab combines realistic practice, detailed explanations, personalized study tools, and progress insights to help you focus your time where it matters most.

PRACTICE WITH PURPOSE

Work through NCE-style practice questions designed to reinforce the knowledge and concepts you’ll need for exam day.

Instead of simply answering question after question, PrepLab helps you turn every practice session into useful progress.

FIND YOUR WEAK AREAS

See which topics need more attention and focus your study accordingly.

PrepLab tracks your performance as you practice, helping you spend less time reviewing what you already know and more time strengthening the areas that could cost you points.

LEARN FROM EVERY MISTAKE

Getting a question wrong should help you improve.

Clear, detailed answer explanations help you understand the reasoning behind each answer, reinforce important counseling concepts, and learn from mistakes instead of simply memorizing answers.

PrepLab gives you multiple ways to prepare:

• NCE exam-style practice questions
• Detailed answer explanations
• Personalized study planning
• Weak-area identification
• Practice exams
• Flashcards

## NCE Exam Prep 2026 Reviews in United States

### *---- "Do not recommend"
It tells you you are wrong, but the explanation it gives matches your selection. Do not waste money for subscription
-- BelievedReader, 2025-11-11

### *---- "Scam"
Took my money and when I tried to email them, it bounced back and said the email was not real.
-- Paigeeeee11, 2025-02-27

### *---- "Disappointed, don’t recommend"
The flashcards tell you you’re wrong even if the explanations show you are actually right. I purchased a subscription, and did 15 questions. I got 13 of them correct, but the app told me I only got 3 of them correct. I took screenshots, and tried to email the company through the app, but the email got kicked back to me. Given how important the reliability of testing materials are, I’m extremely frustrated and don’t recommend. I did cancel my subscription and requested a refund.
-- Hhat Mann, 2025-02-20

### *---- "Don’t do the free trial"
I did the free trial and it still charged me… $20 for three months and I don’t even want the app. Wish I could give it 0 stars.
-- Bayby freem, 2024-08-16

### **--- "Doesn’t Function Correctly"
This app has at least two sections of material that don’t work and one that is kind of useless. I am taking my exam in the morning. If this was my only source of material to study for the exam, I don’t think the outcome would be favorable. I did reach out to let them k ow it wasn’t working properly but I got no response. I want a refund. Skip this app and try another one.
-- Tried_and_True, 2024-06-21

### **--- "Poorly worded questions"
Grammatical errors and incomplete sentences. I could get the gist of the question but there’s better apps out there.
-- LaSirena84, 2024-04-10

### ***-- "No saving"
It doesn’t save the exam date info
-- sixteenlove, 2023-09-18

### *---- "Scam"
This app offered a free 7 day trial. When I signed up I was charged $19.99 for a 3 month trial. Fraudulent.
-- Saggy bottom, 2023-09-10

### *---- "Lied and charged me a subscription"
The app said I had a free 7 day trial and it charged me immediately
-- nataliemarie46, 2023-08-01

### ****- "Nice"
This is awesome!
-- edamn611, 2023-07-01
